The very first version of EmuGUI has been released on 7th June, 2022. That means the anniversary of the program is on its way. So I'll explain how EmuGUI came to be, discuss its future and yeah, EmuGUI tutorials are also what I want to do in the next few weeks.
For the six languages, thanks to: - SuperVitu64 (Spanish) - PurbleVibe32, Rafael Magalhães (Portuguese) - Maestro Finch (Russian, Belarusian) - ParmanCZ (Czech) - Vichingo455 (Italian)
Well, installing Windows 10 manually is a challenge, but if you want to get a certain role, you must do it. Thanks for the challenge, Windows Technology. Let's say, it was not easy.

Update (1st May, 2023): I should've told you earlier, but EmuGUI is no longer supported on Windows 8.1 and Server 2012 R2.
Update (11th June, 2022): If you downloaded any external files, don't forget to copy them to the root of the new EmuGUI installation when updating! Failure to do so will cause some virtual machines to stop working.
Update (9th June, 2022): I now made a video which shows you the power of QEMU and EmuGUI by installing and running the MIPS port of Windows NT 4.0 Workstation. Here it is: https://youtu.be/XWyn6905YLY
So I recently made a GUI for QEMU on Windows. Here, I show you how to install EmuGUI with all of its dependencies. You can even emulate PowerPC and MIPS64el machines.
To show you how to install it, I used a virtual machine running Windows 11 21H2 x64. However, this tutorial should also apply to the following operating systems:
- Windows 8.1 x64
- Windows Server 2012 R2 x64
- All versions of Windows 10 x64 (including Enterprise LTSB/LTSC versions)
- Windows Server 2016 x64
- Windows Server 2019 x64
- Windows Server 2022 x64
- All versions of Windows 11 x64
If you prefer to read instead, I also work on a documentation for this program.

The thing is: I showed you how to install the MIPS port of Windows NT 4.0 but not the i386 one. Let's change that! I'm going to show you how to install Windows NT 4.0 for IA-32 on QEMU with EmuGUI.
Important: I am not going to provide any links to the retail Windows NT 4.0 ISO. Because of that, it's your responsibility how to get one.

Don't try this at home! Come on Windows made a video about merging Windows 7 and Windows 11 by copying both the Windows 7 registry and the Windows 7 files onto Windows 11. Now, InfiniTech's favourite OSes (namely Windows XP and 7) are there for a similar experiment (Sorry to Arnav for what happened on his Discord server again at this point). The files and the registry of Windows XP will be merged to Windows 7.

This has been requested by ⚡LSP on Discord. Android 4.4 normally uses a Linux 3.10 kernel, but what if we replaced it with the Linux 5.4 kernel from Android 12? Would it still work? Is it possible at all on my computer? Let's find this out.

02:34 Getting the source code for Android 4.4 and for the Linux 5.4 kernel
08:26 Trial and error
26:55 Installing Android-x86 4.4
27:41 Putting a more modern, prebuilt kernel onto the installation
30:38 Conclusion so far and outro
I was using the following specifications
- Host: Windows 10 22H2 x64
- GPU: AMD Radeon R7 240
Build VM
- Hypervisor: VMware Workstation 12 Player
- Guest: Ubuntu 18.04 LTS x64 (Google recommends 14.04)
- CPU: 1 out of 2 cores from the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400¹
- RAM: 6 out of 12 GB of DDR3 RAM²
- VHDs: 60 GB on one hard drive, 300 GB on another³
Test VM:
- Hypervisor: VMware Workstation 12 Player
- Guest: Android-x86 4.4 KitKat x86 (obviously)
- CPU: 1 out of 2 cores from the Intel Core 2 Duo E8400
- RAM: 3 out of 12 GB of DDR3 RAM
- VHD: 32 GB on the secondary internal HDD
¹ According to Google, 6 cores or more are helpful. Since 2021, Google develops and builds Android on machines with 72 cores.
² According to Google, 16 GB are required for this to work properly. 64 GB are recommended and used by Google internally. Please don't blame me, my PC doesn't support more than 16 GB of RAM.
³ Google recommends 250 GB for the code and another 150 GB for every compiled build. As I didn't have this much space that can actually be used for this project, I had to hope the 60 GB on my USB HDD and the 300 GB on my secondary internal HDD are enough. Ubuntu, as well as most programs and some backups are on the 60 GB VHD, while the 300 GB VHD is where I stored the Android-related stuff.

Windows Vista Starter was very limited (1 GB RAM, 120 GB hard disk space, no Media Player, ...). But how much do (or did) these limits actually affect your daily lives? That's for us to find out. Thanks for the idea, PurblePink8678 (not on Odysee).

This idea came from Erik's Gadgets (not on Odysee). Today I'm going to try upgrading Windows Vista to Windows 10 directly. There are several problems to overcome, from lifting the limitations of the upgrade to getting Windows 10 ready in the first place. Sorry for my voice not here, I forgot to let OBS use my old headset.
Rules for requesting:
- Only request upgrade paths I haven't tried yet or where I couldn't succeed.
- When requesting macOS systems, you have to make sure it's on M68k or PowerPC. If it's on Intel or Silicon, it's rejected due to compatibility issues.
- If the OS to upgrade from doesn't run for some reason, it's rejected.
- Only request OSes with the same architecture. Otherwise, it's rejected.
- Do not request me to do it on real hardware, I don't have a PC where I could do such experiments. However, if it IS compatible with certain VM configurations, you can request just that.
- To make it extra challenging for me, you can request it in foreign languages if they are available.
Rules for me:
- I must directly upgrade from one to another. However, multi-boot is allowed if necessary.
- I can use workarounds when needed.
- The host system can be used for supportive tasks.

Windows 95 - an operating system which might not be as easy to install as other ones here. But there is a way to get Windows 95 working - that however needs you to have another virtualization software like VirtualBox or VMware Workstation (you can also use PCem or 86Box).
As always:
1. I already made tutorials for QEMU and EmuGUI. See the links for details.
2. Also, you need floppy images for MS-DOS 5.0 or later and an ISO file for Windows 95. For legal reasons, I won't give download links for any of these.
3. If you prefer not to install new software just to use one OS on QEMU and EmuGUI, I recommend you to install Windows XP instead. Video is linked down below.
