The Positives and Negatives of House Churches
Program Air Date: Sunday, December 29th, 2019 – 9am
News Radio 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland
With a seemingly increased number of American Christians choosing to attend house churches (as opposed to attending big traditional churches), what are the consequences of their choice? In other words, by being involved with a house church, what do they gain that’s good? What do they gain that’s bad? What do they unfortunately lose? What do they lose that they are glad to have lost?
The panel:
Troy Skinner. Host, The Faith Debate
Jonathan Switzer. Founder, Crossed Bridges
David Forsee. Church Planter, a new house church

Advent Traditions
Faith Debate: August 29th, 2021
News Radio 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland
This episode brought Christmas to August. Why do Christians celebrate this holiday the way that they do? What’s the origin of some of these social and religious conventions? How should discerning individuals think about all of this? This is the content that comprises the majority of the time in this potpourri edition of the show.
Also, it was possible that this could have been the final ever broadcast of the Faith Debate on WFMD. (We found out together, soon enough, if this proved to be the case.) So, just in case… there is mention of this during the final minutes of the show… giving thanks to all who helped The Faith Debate enjoy seventeen wonderful years on the radio up to that point. Everyone's support has been a true blessing.

Troy Skinner. Pastor of Household of Faith in Christ.

Much of what is called “apostolic” in the church today does not measure up to the biblical model, says Barry Starliper in his book, “The Apostle Jesus”. Well, what is the state of the “apostolic church” today, and how does it measure up to the church model that is found in the pages of the New Testament?
Here to talk about questions such as these are:

Dr. Neil Acheampong. Pastor of Covenant Family Chapel and radio ministry preacher (as heard on WFMD each Sunday morning at 9:30a).

Christian Nationalism: Defining Theonomy
There’s an unseemly battle royale taking place among Christian conservatives this year. Some of the fight is over semantics, some is over vision for the future, and some of it (sadly) is due to personality conflict.
The panel spends six episodes attempting to directly expose the issues involved, hoping to forthrightly frame the various dialogs within a biblical context. This is a VERY complex issue that touches upon how to understand what’s called Theonomy (in distinction from Theocracy and Sacralism), how understand prophecy (primarily in relation to Postmillennialism, Amillennialism, and Preterism), and how to understand the moniker “Christian Nationalism” (as distinct from Christianity proper, Christendom, and even Sharia Law).
That’s a lot to cover. This is episode 1 of 6. The full discussion of six shows is available as one long video on the Rumble channel for Household of Faith in Christ. https://rumble.com/v2kr5kc-video-gg-theonomy-and-christian-nationalism.html

Injustice Should Make Us Angry
Program Air Date: Sunday, July 19th, 2020 – 9am
News Radio 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland
These words were recently written by a black man, “I’m angry because the stories of injustice that have been passed down for generations seem to be continuing before our very eyes. I’m angry because white people don’t get it. I’m angry because black people don’t get it, either.”
He added that more than 150 years since the abolition of slavery, you’d think that by now we’d have reached real parity between people of different skin tones. He then continues that, “A lot of white people believe that’s actually where we are. A lot of black people know we aren’t.”
What does the biblical Christian church say in response to this?
The panel:
Troy Skinner. Faith Debate host and moderator.
Jonathan Switzer. Founder of Crossed Bridges.
Vaughn Thurman. Lay leader within the church.

Three Marks of the True Christian Church (part 4 of 4)
The three marks of the church from a Protestant (especially Reformed) view are: The Word Rightly Preached, the Sacraments Rightly Administered, Discipline Rightly Applied.
This week the focus is on the question: What should a person do when their church does not exhibit the three marks? When is it right to leave and how should this be done?

Jesus Named King in Poland! Clergy Arrested in Washington DC!
Program Air Date: Sunday, September 3rd, 2017 – 9am
News Radio 930 WFMD in Frederick, Maryland
Leaders in the Polish government declare that their country is under the protection of the “immaculate heart of Mother Mary”. Bishops in Poland, with support of the Polish president, pronounce that their country’s king is Jesus Christ. The governing party (known as the Law & Justice Party) move to knit the church and state closer together. What is a biblical response to this?
Fifty interfaith protesters gathered in the nation's Capitol to voice opposition to Medicaid cuts in the GOP healthcare bill. Eleven of the protesters, including clergy members were arrested outside Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s office. Should pastors focus on such things?

Kendall Lovelace- Evangelist, St. John’s Bible Fellowship Church
Daniel Razvi- JD from Oak Brook College of Law (and also part of Conquered By Love Ministries)
