Lori Vallow Update - Kay Woodcock Not Allowed to Attend Trial Before Giving Testimony? #lorivallow
Today Judge Boyslce heard arguments in the case of Lori Vallow Daybell, who will be starting her trial April 3rd for the deaths of her two children, Tylee Ryan and JJ Vallow.
At issue is the fact that Kay Woodcock would like to be able to sit in the trial.
normally if a witness is on a list for trial they're not allowed in the trial until after they give their testimony because they don't want a witness to have their testimony tainted by what other Witnesses are saying.
If Kay Woodcock was still the legal grandmother, then she might have more rights as immediate family to a victim then what she is considered for legal purposes to be the aunt of JJ Vallow.

Lori vallow's defenses arguing that Kay Woodcock does not qualify for an exemption as a witness to be able to watch the testimony of the other Witnesses prior to her own testimony.

I'm not sure if anybody's arguing about it on the prosecutor side, but generally speaking they're trying to figure out because K woodcott gave JJ up for adoption that literally changed her into being the legal aunt and not the grandmother.

As the legal aunt, she does not qualify to sit in on the trial prior to her on testimony.

Judge Boyce heard arguments today and will rule on this issue on Friday as to whether K Woodcock will have to do what everybody else and trials has to do which is not attend them prior to their own testimony.

I know about this because when I was 17 years old I was on The Fringe of a very high-profile criminal case and I was witness and that very issue as to am I allowed in there or not was talked about and I was told that I could not attend the trial prior to my testimony but once they called me as a witness I could attend the trials I wanted to.

I know that emotional feelings are raw and I see anger out there and all these kind of things but the law is not about emotions and anger it's just about rulings and facts and judge Boyce will give that ruling as to what he determines the law to be on Friday.
