For those of you who don't know, gaslighting is a form of psychological manipulation, where the abuser attempts to convince their victim that what they believe to be true is wrong, to the point that it questions its own sanity. Gaslighting is more prevalent than people want to admit. An example of modern day gaslighting, is the press. The media has been gaslighting people for so long, misleading and distracting the population, that it is no wonder we see such confusion in society. I have not even started about the techniques the media use to sell their propaganda, I think I will leave this topic for another video. Going back to the topic, what does a gaslighter fear? Well, generally speaking, people tend to apply to others what works for them. A manipulator has been manipulated in the past, so he/she knows how much it hurts. That person thinks: “Since it was effective with me, if I try it to others they will also fall for it.” So, chances are that a gaslighter is a person who has been gaslighted in the past, or he/she has seen it being done on others and judged that it would have been effective if done on him. Therefore, a gaslighter is very probably a person who fears gaslighting and more specifically, manipulation. Another fear a gaslighter might have, is the fear of being discovered and exposed. Going back to the example of the mainstream media, we can see how desperate they have become to maintain their crumbling, fear based narrative, to the point that they blatantly lie to the public.
