Fighting The Wind So I Can Battle Some Fish Under Docks
Well the wind has been howling in the Lowcountry the past week or two making fishing very difficult. I finally said screw it and decided to try fighting back against the wind and see if I could use the relatively windproof knocker rig to find some fish under and around docks. It was a battle and a struggle at times, but I ended up having a solid day of fishing despite the odds.
I've been loving using the knocker rig with live mullet and it's been killing it for me the last few trips, but if you have any video ideas or requests for different types of fishing I should try please let me know. Thanks for watching and have a great day!
Believe it or not I caught more than just sheepshead in this video! I went out to try some new water so I went out to Station 19 on Sullivan's Island and started tossing some fiddler crabs under docks. It was brutally cold and insanely windy on this day so I didn't have the best time to say the least. But, I did manage to catch a few fish despite the conditions including a study sheepshead! Giving the split shot rig the old college try paid off!
I hope you all enjoyed this short video despite it having less action than normal, this was a tough day and I wanted to accurately portray that. I've got a lot of awesome videos queued up that are just LOADED with fish so stay tuned and turn on those notifications! Thank you all for watching and have a great day!

In this video I used frozen blue crabs which is a bait I haven't used in a long time. I quartered them and tipped the Sheep Sticker jigs with chunks of crab and soaked it under a dock. I got on a great bite almost immediately but I had some terrible hooksets on this trip and missed a lot of fish. Needless to say I was pretty frustrated... but I finally dialed it in after a lot of big missed fish and landed a nice bull that was probably the most orange red I've ever caught. The thing looked like a pumpkin!
I hope you all enjoyed the video and thank you all for watching. Have a great day and remember to make time for fishing!

Hi everyone, in this video I tried to break my fly fishing cold-streak after a cold front came through Charleston the day before. I'm very new to fly fishing so my hopes weren't the highest going into this trip. I had to try out a half dozen flies to figure out what they were biting on that day but I managed to pull in a few fish in an hour or so. I've definitely had worse days and it's always a good day when you're fishing! Remember to make time for fishing because it's always a good day when you get to go!

I went Kayak fishing at Copahee Sound once again and had a pretty crazy multi species day of fishing. I used a weedless ned rig from Bellaire Jigs, live finger mullet and cut blue crab to catch a whole bunch of different species on a falling tide. I had thrown out some chunks of blue crab around an oyster bed, hoping to get a bull red to bite. So when the rod bent over sideways while I was landing a keeper speckled trout I figured that must have been my bull red. About 5 minutes into the fight I realized I had something else entirely on the line. Watch until the end to see what I caught!

I went out exploring a local pond and canal system in search of some winter time largemouth bass and man did I find them! I caught several sizable bass on my ultra light setup and unfortunately had my heart broken by a massive bass right at the end of the day. I shed a few tears and had some choice words about the loss but I already have a game plan for how to land him next time.
I was mainly using a spinnerbait on this trip but I caught the last 2 or 3 on a tiny 1/32 oz jig head with a 2" berkley gulp minnow.

I went back to Smythe lake in Daniel Island to do some more morning bass fishing. I brought my ultralight setup and some crappie jigs and micro soft plastics and managed to hammer a ton of big bass in about 2 hours of fishing. I left out most of the catches from the video so I could make it a shorter video.
Let me know what you want to see me do next. I've got some exciting news coming up next week, can't wait to do a big reveal!

On this trip I broke out the old "Walmart Special" kayak that's been gathering dust in my garage to help me get to a hard to reach creek that holds some big redfish. I fished a super low negative tide and the low water had these huge fish concentrated in a tiny creek like crazy! I ended up ditching the kayak on a sandbar and I found that the fish were hungry! There were big red drum everywhere and I managed to catch quite a few great quality fish at low tide. All the fish in this video were caught on lures! This was a really fun video and one of the few times that a plan comes together exactly as I'd hoped. I hope you enjoyed the video and thank you so much for watching.

I wanted to branch out to some new water so with my expectations for the day set low I ventured out to fish an area I'd never fished before from the kayak. Almost immediately I got on an excellent bite that continued through the trip and all stages of the tide! I caught fish on multiple types of lures from paddletails and plastic shrimp to the ned rig. All seemed equally effective because the fish were fired up and feeding like crazy. I just wish every fishing trip could be this good! This will certainly not be the last you see of this creek in my videos!

I've been having a lot of fun sheepshead fishing and I wanted to see how hard it would be to catch them on lures. The answer is extremely. However, I did managed to catch some of these fish on lures my first time trying and I have a lot of respect for anybody who chooses to target them this way. After a long time without any bites I switched to my last few fiddler crabs to try and decide if it was me or if there weren't any fish, turns out there were fish and I was the problem... go figure.
I was out on Shem Creek and the lure of choice was the crusty crab by Chasebaits in a fiddler crab pattern. This lure is very light at about 1/7 oz and is really well balanced so it looks like the crab is in a control sky dive on the way down. My setup was a 5'6" Shimano Solara medium power rod, a Kastking Valiant Eagle 3000 with 15lb braid and a 20lb fluorocarbon leader.
Thank you all for watching and have a great day!
