The writing process was harder and longer than expected. I have basically spent a whole week in front of the computer to make it happen. In the end, the articles weren't the problem, it was more about getting accepted to the different publications. Choosing one week as the time frame was everything else than smart but in the end, I wanted to get the video done. Initially, it was just for us to crash during to start of covid. It turned into a bit more than that tho. At one point we needed to find our own place. Well, pretty much since the beginning of this year, we have been looking for a farm. But if you have ever been involved in the housing market, you know that it isn’t that easy at the moment. Neither in big cities nor in the countryside where we are looking currently. Our dream Farm Small farms in Norwegian “småbruk” often include a barn and main house but sometimes come with a smaller additional building with a few beds. Our plan is to use the barn as a filming studio/gym. The main house for living and the potential second building to have to possibility to have people staying with us. If that ever goes well, I thought about having the option to have smaller groups of people come over for a week or so to reconnect a bit to nature, use the gym and hiking for physical activities and find a bit of peace from the city. Other options could also be nature/landscape photography stays. Just a place to live a proper human life and create a community beyond YouTube. When we moved into our small farm in Norway, the meadow was totally fenced in. On of the neighbours has borrowed it for calfs in the past years. As we wanted to use a good chunk of it to start planting some endangered trees, apple trees, make a pond and start a hedge towards the street, there were quite some fence poles that needed moving. So I spent a morning removing and pulling out poles. The neighbour took care of getting them back into place. Now we have some more space to start planting and he still has space for the calves.
