We show how observing E8 from a nine dimensional perspective reveals three A8 simplex lattices, decorated by exceptional Jordan algebra matrices. Then, a tetrahedron from the QSN can encode a viewing vector, be uplifted to E8, and enjoy actions on F4, E6, E7 and E8 thanks to the Tits magic square, and the Truini-Rios magic star. These algebraic actions are at the heart of our code. We also show that the Fano plane and the famous octonion multiplication table emerge from this view point.

The full title of this video is On the Riemann Hypothesis, Complex Scalings and Logarithmic Time Reversal
An approach to solve the Riemann Hypothesis is revisited within the framework of the special properties of Θ (theta) functions, and the notion of CT invariance. The conjugation operation C amounts to complex scaling transformations, and the T operation t→(1∕t) amounts to the reversal log(t)→−log(t) . A judicious scaling-like operator is constructed whose spectrum Es=s(1−s) is real-valued, leading to s=12+iρ , and/or s= real. These values are the location of the non-trivial and trivial zeta zeros, respectively. A thorough analysis of the one-to-one correspondence among the zeta zeros, and the orthogonality conditions among pairs of eigenfunctions, reveals that no zeros exist off the critical line. The role of the C,T transformations, and the properties of the Mellin transform of Θ functions were essential in our construction.

Fang Fang, research scientist at Quantum Gravity Research, shows how the 57-Group--a structure that we propose as a quasiparticle--is constructed, and demonstrates how this quasiparticle can propagate along the "Hopf" loops in a 4D quasicrystal known as the Elser-Sloane quasicrystal, which is derived via a cut-and-project method of projection from the E8 lattice.

Dugan Hammock received a Bachelors degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Masters degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, both in pure Mathematics. Independently he has done extensive work utilizing computer rendering software to produce geometric visualizations and animations; this work has brought him to such places as Tübingen, Germany and the Netherlands. His most recent work involves the development of computational methods to visualize and better understand 4-dimensional geometries and other hyper-dimensional structures.

Fang is a Senior Research Scientist working on the development of a fundamental physics theory at Quantum Gravity Research. She received her PhD in Laser Plasma Physics from the University of California at Los Angeles. She joined the mission in 2009 and helped build the team. Her expertise includes photonics, solid state physics, plasma physics, quantum gravity models, standard physics model, quasicrystals, Lie algebra and number theory.

Matteo Baggioli is a friend of QGR and this presentation shows that the field theories dual to the homogeneous holographic models with spontaneously broken translations display several distinctive properties of quasicrystals, aperiodic crystals with long-range order (e.g. incommensurate charge density waves). This interpretation suggests that the longitudinal diffusive mode, observed in the spectrum of excitations of these systems, is the diffusive Goldstone boson typical of quasicrystals -- the phason. Moreover, following this idea, and using the effective field theory formalism for Goldstone modes in dissipative systems, we are able to derive the universal phase relaxation found in these holographic models in presence of a small source of explicit breaking (pseudo-spontaneous regime).
