BNSF SD-70mac & SD70ACe on the orginal CB&Q mainline (great doppler effect!!!)
Here is a BNSF coal on the orginal CB&Q mainline between Chicago and Galesburg in North Central Illinois. It is early evening in summer and the sun is setting as this train is heading north to Chicago. I'm facing southwest looking in the direction to Galesburg. From Chicago the original CB&Q would split at Galesburg- one going to Burlington, Iowa the other to Quincy, Illinois. (Hence C-B & Q)

So I don't make the "UMPG" Gods mad at me- let me first say i don't own the music- its RUSH and only background noise. Okay- so here is "Rails" a turtle I rescued from the railroad tracks (that's why i call him Rails:) near Bureau Junction, Illinois. My buddy who is an Engineer for Iowa Interstate Railroad had stopped by after his shift ended and told me where it was... I thought it was dead from dehydration. We had bottled water in the car so I poured water on him and he came to life!!! It is known as a "Painted Turtle" which is common in Illinois and this one is a male characterized by the long tail and long claws. This video is during his feeding time- which is actually pretty cool to watch. Shrimp is on his menu today. At the end of the video are my North American Gray Tree Frogs and one green Northern Leopard Frog. Thanks and Enjoy!

In September 2012 the Illinois Railway Museum's Burlington Route E5, the only one left in existence, piloted the "Nebraska Zephyr," on a scheduled-passenger excursion on its original tracks for the first time since its 1968 retirement. These tracks are the Mendota sub, of the BNSF line- and were the original CB&Q main running from Chicago to Quincy, IL with a stop in Galesburg, IL. I rode this on Sunday the 23rd. I covered all the on board shots in this video. Unfortunately- the train did a lot of rocking and it was hard to hold a steady shot with my camera when i was walking around. I also gathered videos of various fans who followed us on this historic trip and included them with this video. My seat was the last chair, in the last window, in the last car (the Parlor/observation Car). Joining me was my good friend Eddie B.- engineer for Iowa Interstate RR, my other friend from the IRM museum and director of operations for this excursion Harold K. and my mom.
