Special Bulletin outstanding 1983 TV-Movie - Reality-TV Docu-drama
A perfectly typical broadcast evening on a major network is interrupted by a shocking special news bulletin. Anchorman John Woodley (Ed Flanders) and his partner, Susan Myles (Kathryn Walker), reveal that terrorists have threatened to detonate an H-bomb off of the coast of South Carolina if the Navy refuses to agree to their demands -- the disarmament of a key nuclear weapons facility. Soon, the local team covering the story in Charleston is taken hostage and becomes the terrorists' mouthpiece.
Phantom of the Paradise is a 1974 American rock musical horror comedy film written and directed by Brian De Palma and scored by and starring Paul Williams. In the film, a naïve young singer-songwriter (played by William Finley) is tricked by legendary but unscrupulous music producer Swan (Williams) into giving up his life's work, a rock opera based on the Faust legend. The composer dons a bizarre new persona to terrorize Swan's new concert hall in revenge and to have his favourite singer, Phoenix (played by Jessica Harper), perform his music.
The story is a loosely adapted mixture of several classic European works: Gaston Leroux's 1910 novel The Phantom of the Opera, Oscar Wilde's 1890 The Picture of Dorian Gray, and Faust by Goethe/Christopher Marlowe.[2]
The film was a box office failure and received negative reviews contemporaneously, while earning praise for its music and receiving Academy Award and Golden Globe nominations. However, over the years, the film has received much more positive reviews and has become a cult film.

“The International Jew—The World’s Foremost Problem” is a four-volume set of anti-Semitic booklets or pamphlets which exposed Jewish financiers, bankers and institutions of economic power. Originally published and distributed in the early-1920s by the Dearborn Publishing Company, an outlet owned by Henry Ford, American industrialist and automobile manufacturer.
Henry Ford was peaking as a global celebrity at the conclusion of World War I, having introduced the $5 workday, assembly line and Model T ‒ revolutionary changes that transformed the way people lived.
In January 1919, Henry Ford began publication of the Dearborn Independent, a small financially troubled community weekly he had purchased the previous year. Carrying the subtitle, “The Chronicler of the Neglected Truth,” the paper primarily served as a forum for Henry Ford’s views. The newspaper was popular, and circulation reached 900,000 in 1926, being distributed across Europe and North America during the rise of fascism in the 1920s and ‘30s, and influencing some of the future rulers of Nazi Germany.
The Dearborn Independent would, most likely, have remained a sidebar in Ford’s biography were it not for a controversial series that began on May 22, 1920 and lasted for several years. Appearing on the front page every week, “The International Jew: The World’s Problem” examined a purported conspiracy launched by a hostile international Jewish press controlled by international Jewish banks and other powerful international Jewish financial interests campaigning for war for personal gain viz. the First Great War (1914-1918) and Jewish world domination.
These writings were largely based on, and included elements of the notorious “The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion” (first published in Russia in 1903), which purported to be evidence of a global Jewish conspiracy to dominate the world.
