The year has been hard In many areas throughout Australia and hay was needed throughout the outback to keep breeding stock alive . Sadly with no water those that normally farm and create a hay market on the murray were unable to do so this year. The effect is that hay was not available to purchase so many ewe sheep that would have been saved did breeders were sent to the Abottour. This will have a huge effects in the years to come as the loss of the breeding numbers have been horrendous . The government will blame the drought , but the fact remains is we had the traditional uncorrupted and respected river system irrigators on the Murray would have grown the hay to keep the breeders alive . Another flow in effect ( for lack of a better phase ) of the corruption on our rivers by this federal LNP and their northern masters who have destroyed our rivers for short term profits , greed and unsustainable crops.
