If you don't feel like hiking but want to see a couple waterfalls, Highlands North Carolina has a few options.
Bridal Veil Falls is a cool 45-foot waterfall on the side of a highway roughly 2.3 miles from downtown. And just down the road, you'll find Dry falls which only takes a 0.2-mile walk to get there. At Dry Falls, you can even go behind the waterfall!

Dry Falls, also known as Upper Cullasaja Falls, is a 65-foot (20.1 m) waterfall located in the Nantahala National Forest, northwest of Highlands, North Carolina.
Geology
Dry Falls flows on the Cullasaja River through the Nantahala National Forest. It is part of a series of waterfalls on an 8.7-mile (14 km) stretch of the river that eventually ends with Cullasaja Falls. Dry Falls flows over an overhanging bluff that allows visitors to walk up under the falls and remain relatively dry when the waterflow is low, hence its name. Visitors will get wet if the waterflow is high.
History
The falls has been called Dry Falls for a long time, but has also gone by a few other names, including High Falls, Pitcher Falls, and Cullasaja Falls.[3] It received its name because supposedly, you can walk behind the falls and stay dry, however this is only true in periods of low flow.
Visiting The Falls
Dry Falls is located on the side of U.S. Highway 64 3.1 miles (5.0 km) north of Highlands, North Carolina. There is a parking area on the side of the road, where visitors can park before walking the short path with stairs to the falls.
During 2008–2009 the Forest Service made improvements to the parking area, which included renovation and expansion and the addition of bathroom facilities. A new walkway and overlook were also constructed adjacent to the parking area.[4]
Bridal Veil Falls is a 45-foot (13.7 m) waterfall located in the Nantahala National Forest, northwest of Highlands, North Carolina. With a short curve of roadway located behind the falls, it had the distinction of being the only waterfall in the state that one could drive a vehicle under, however this has since been closed and is now used for pedestrian access only.

Milledgeville is a city in and the county seat of Baldwin County[5] in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is northeast of Macon and bordered on the east by the Oconee River. The rapid current of the river here made this an attractive location to build a city. It was the capital of Georgia from 1804 to 1868, including during the American Civil War. Milledgeville was preceded as the capital city by Louisville and was succeeded by Atlanta, the current capital. Today U.S. Highway 441 connects Milledgeville to Madison, Athens, and Dublin.
As of April 1, 2020, the population of Milledgeville was 17,070 down from 17,715 at the 2010 US Census.[6]
Milledgeville is along the route of the Fall Line Freeway, which is under construction to link Milledgeville with Augusta, Macon, Columbus, and other Fall Line cities. They have long histories from the colonial era of Georgia.
Milledgeville is the principal city of the Milledgeville Micropolitan Statistical Area, a micropolitan area that includes Baldwin and Hancock counties.[7] It had a combined population of 52,534 at the 2020 census.[3] The Old State Capitol is located here; it was added to the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP). Much of the original city is contained within the boundaries of the Milledgeville Historic District, which was also added to the NRHP.

In this video, my wife and I hike 2 EPIC trails in North Carolina's LINVILLE Gorge and then camp at Linville Falls RV and Cabins campsite.
The first hike is Table Rock which at a specific section of the summit, shows one of the best 360 views of Linville Gorge. However, it was rough going through the flies and bugs at the top, but worth it!
The next day we hiked Linville Falls waterfall trail where we witnessed two brave men jump from atop Linville Falls Waterfall! Enjoy!!

Table Rock is a mountain in the east rim of Linville Gorge, part of Pisgah National Forest (Grandfather Ranger District) in North Carolina. It features a distinctive rock formation, and is a prominent peak in the area.[2]
The peak makes for a quick hike from a nearby parking area, and is also very popular for rock climbing.[3] It is described as having a "national reputation of being the best place to climb in the Southeastern U.S.",[3] and the "hub of climbing activity in Linville Gorge".[4]
Table Rock is also known for its flora. Botanists André Michaux and John Fraser found various plants in the area in the nineteenth century. Fraser discovered Fraser's Sedge near the mountain.[3]
Table Rock has been described as "the most visible symbol in the region".[3] Former North Carolina senator Sam Ervin said that he retired to the nearby town of Morganton to "watch the glorious sunsets over Table Rock".[5] In addition, Jules Verne's novel Master of the World describes Table Rock, which is called Great Eyrie in the book, as "rising high above the valley to sometimes belch strange sounds and fire over the little village of Morganton".[3]
A wildfire swept through the area in November 2013. At least one hundred firefighters were involved.[6]
Linville Falls is a waterfall located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina in the United States.[1] The falls move in several distinct steps, beginning in a twin set of upper falls, moving down a small gorge, and culminating in a high-volume 45-foot (14 m) drop.
It is named for the Linville River, which goes over the falls. Linville Falls has the highest volume of any waterfall on the Northern Edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains.[2]
Natural history
Linville Falls marks the beginning of the Linville Gorge, which is formed by the Linville River, which continues on after the falls before finally ending near Lake James.
At one time, the upper section of the main plunge was the same height as the lower section, however, flooding caused the upper section to collapse on top of the lower falls, making the lower falls a considerably longer plunge.[2]

I traveled to every single city and town of all sizes in the state of Georgia. I filmed the city square of every single one and put it in this compilation video. I found 373 city squares total.
Keep in mind, many towns or cities in Georgia don’t have a square. So to be clear, this a simply a compilation video of only the square of every city that has one. There are also many larger cities that doesn’t have a prominent city center such as holly springs, John’s creek, Warner bros, etc.
Other terms of city square are downtown, city center, or town square. Many smaller towns only have a post office or another government building which wasn’t necessarily enough to consider it a town square.
