Linux Mint Taking Steps To Implement Wayland
Wayland is going to be slowly making it's way into Linux Mint. Experimental Wayland support should be dropping in December / Christmas. Let me know what you think of this news in the comments!

When installing an apllication you might encounter one of the dependencies having a REQUIRED_USE flag that you need to add. I will demonstrate how you can take care of this issue in this video.
