Part 1 of 2 Black Forest Dancer Cuckoo Clock with Squirrels
Sad to say, but this is the first clock I came across that had so much plastic parts in the function of the dancers along with the plastic cuckoo bird. I hate to think how much people pay for these clocks and not really knowing what they are buying. Here I show the repair of the clock, the way I had to fix the dancer platform to keep it in place, try to get the cuckoo bird to move up and down and break down the movement for cleaning and re-oiling the movement. Don't forget to subscribe and give a thumbs up to help my channel. God Bless.

Here I do most of my work on clocks. Mainly cuckoo clocks, yet I am always looking for the unusual and eye catching clocks. Some of the clocks I get into are ones that need saved from the dump. They fell off the wall from not securing the clock to the wall using the stud behind the sheetrock. Some of the clocks were laid to rest out in the garage or barn and I except the challenge of getting them back together again. A well loved clock at one time is one that has a lot of wear and you find old bushings that might need to be replaced. ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AJU3bjCanc
On my cleaning of the clock works, I use a clock cleaner ; Clock Cleaning Concentrate - Ammoniated that you HAVE to use in a Well Ventilated space, they also have a cleaner that I have purchased, but haven't used yet; Clock Cleaning Concentrate - Non-Ammoniated that is much safer to use in a confined space.
The reason I restain a Cuckoo clock is because it has been bumped around or has outer parts that might not match. The stain is a jell I use to sponge it on and leave. The older cuckoo clocks have a very cheap, mud like stain and will wash off if you are not careful. Don't remember what the stain was I used, but seems to me i used a walnut color over the whole clock to make it all match and look new again.
Oiling the clock, you should use a clock oil and not to much because dust loves oil and will have to clean the clock works more often. You can find the oil on ebay or a good clock parts company on the internet. I have one, but I have no asked permission to give it out, but if you email me, I will give it to you.
For the tools you might need;
1. Flat head screwdriver
2. Needle Nose pliers
3. Clock cleaner or Dawn Dishwashing liquid. (Dawn isn't the best way to clean your clock, but if you only have one clock to fix, it will work but takes a while to get it running right).
4. Clock Oil and a tissue to suck up extra oil.
I do hope this helps everyone that might work on there clocks and are willing to give it a try. I try to help others through the process when they run into trouble the best that I can.
I don't check my email all the time, so give me time and I will get back to you. If you have pictures or videos of your clock problem might be appreciated in assisting me to help you.

Now that I am retired, I just might show my life and some of the towns around me. My Brother and Dad, live on the same Dead End Road and yea, maybe we just might get into trouble a little, but have fun doing it. It is time to start smelling the Roses on the way instead of looking at them and passing them by.

This was a challenge I entered on April 2, 2020. I planted the seeds in pots on the 2nd of April and took two weeks to germinate indoors. When these plants came up, they just sat there doing nothing for me. This video was made on the 11th of May. I am hoping that once in the ground, just maybe they will get the nurturance they must me missing from the potting soil I used?? I also video my Dads tomato plants that he planted the same time. Don’t know what kind of tomato seeds he used, but look how much better the plants grew. We will give my tomato plants time now to see if they spring into action. Pray for them, lol.

Here I found a Sears & Roebuck cuckoo clock that they sold once apron a time. Besides being an 8 day clock, most of every one in my family and a few friends worked for Sears. I even worked on Saturday Night to help clean and wax the floors. Even my wife worked at Sears. So lets see the clock here in the video because this clock sat in a garage that must have done a lot of welding and coated the open box with the clock. I could not believe how nice this clock turned out.

Here I have a Vintage United Swinging Bell clock that make an irritating sound when running. The Bell has a block of wood that needed some wax to stop this irritating sound and while I was at it, I oiled the movement and wax the paint on the metal and plastic outer shell. Looks so much better and quiet now.

This clock came up needing some help. Little did I realize just how much help it needed. Broken glass over the flower, parts missing in the movement and all the brass in need of cleaning along with some TLC on the case. My friend Mark told me to buy this clock, so I gave it a try and man, oh man, did I learn what I could do.

Total Remodel of Roy's Old House. The siding is getting changed to Hardiplank Siding and we are fixing the Dry Rot and Termite damage as we go. This house was added on several times and years ago someone put block foundation under this house with no Ventilation so the humidity could not escape and just invited termites and dry rot.

Dad and I went to the Raintree Nursery in Morton Washington. If you go there, have your camera on. Beautiful, tree covered hills.

Just recently the Mother White tailed deer stopped by for snacking on the apple trees. The next day, her two bucks stopped by to eat on my Pie Cherry tree. Not afraid at all.
