The opposition politicians under their pressure group the people’s front headed by former president Forum for Democratic Party Rt. Col. Dr. Kizza Besigye have revealed a strategy of intensifying mobilization of the population as they take forward what they refer to as their struggle. While addressing the media at Katonga Road in Kampala, the chairman of the people’s from Rt. Col. DR. Kizza Besigye said their organization as political parties has not been successful because of their own faults especially those who seek to gain positions in government. The crackdown on ministers who allegedly misused their offices and took iron sheets that were meant to benefit the people of karamoja commenced last week following a presidential directive to the prime minister Robinah Nabbanja to have all those who took the iron sheets return them. Col Dr. Kizza Besigye says this issue is an insignificant part of the corruption in the country emphasising that iron sheets are visible that is why the suspects are in trouble. According to the opposition there is a problem that requires Ugandans to engage, be active and focused to deal with.
