Hi guys- Here is another review of a great looking locomotive from MTH Electric trains. This is an ES44AC in Iowa Interstate colors. It's a true 1/48 scale O-gauge model. I received this back in early June but just got around to posting the review. I have all three cab numbers 500,502,&507 and I also have the non-powered unit cab# 510. I plan to power-up the non powered unit- then I'll have four powered units. In the near future I plan to do a video in which I lash-up all units!!! I plan to do that shortly. In the meantime- enjoy this review of this great engine!

Wednesday, 3-28-12, was an early morning call from my friend who works for IAIS. The 513 had come through Bureau Junction, Illinois on the nights of 25th and 26th, but those were bad photo ops as it was at night. So this call today was great! I met my friend at the Hennepin Crossing (who was engineering the 513 on a NS coal run). He brought me over to the 513 so I could get some cool stills up close. I then waited for them to pull out- We also pass the area near Tiskilwa were the October derailment occurred. Note the lack of foliage, gone from the fire and the new Ballast laid down. I tried something different: I photographed through the "Fish eye" lens to try a different effect- Its subtle but noticeable- I also included the stills in with the video: Please tell me what y'all think! On a hot summer's evening (7-25-12) I got a call from one of my friends who works for Iowa Interstate who told me another one of my friends was engineer the IAIS 513 Rock Island heritage unit. When my friend in 513 saw me- he flashed the #boards (our way of saying "hi") this was shot with my new Sony HD camera but unfortunately I haven't figured out all the settings- I don't think the quality was set at the highest level...

Hi Guys, Here we have a train I have had for a while... never really wanted to post it because I felt it was incomplete. More on that later. But this is MTH's Solid Rocket booster set. I purchased only the cars. I got the Florida East Coast SD70 Later, and the FEC GP38 to go with it. What was incomplete about this set was the buffer cars in between each rocket section.. So I set out to get ribbed box cars, and painted them UP yellow. The only thing I have to do with those now is put UP herald decals on them. But anyway with the SD70, GP38 and Buffer cars, I feel this is now complete and ready to show. So, Here is a short running section.
