He got the Master Sword upgraded with the power of the Sols. Then, he reached the throne room and confronted Zant. Now, before he goes to Hyrule Castle to confront Ganon, he will start the Cave of Ordeals, one of the most grueling challenges in the game. Mirror Chamber: Link resumes in the Mirror Chamber atop the Arbiter's Grounds. He warps to the Kakariko Village portal. Kakariko Village (time 1:05): Link heads to Barnes's Bombs. He sells off the remaining Water Bombs in his first Bomb Bag. Afterwards, he warps to the Castle Town portal. Hyrule Field (time 2:48): Link arrives in the field west of Castle Town. He crosses the bridge and enters town. Castle Town (time 3:15): In the Central Square, Link heads to the Malo Mart Castle Branch, which appears to be open 24-7. He fills up on Arrows and normal Bombs. Afterwards, Link warps to the Gerudo Mesa portal. Gerudo Desert (time 5:06): The entrance to the Cave of Ordeals is under where the Bridge of Eldin segment was sitting. Link goes in. Cave of Ordeals (time 5:27): The Cave of Ordeals is a fifty-floor gauntlet of enemies. As Link approaches the ledge, he hears the Great Fairy's voice. When he hops off the ledge, he will start on the first floor. After defeating the enemies on each floor, Link can sometimes dig up recovery hearts or Rupees. Floor 1: The enemy is a Bokoblin. Floor 2: The enemies are Keese and Rats. Floor 3: The enemies are Baba Serpents. The first three are hanging from the ceiling and can be shot down from the ledge. Floor 4: The enemies are Skulltulas. Floor 5: The enemies are Bulblin Archers. Floor 6: The enemies are Fire Slugs. Several are hanging from the ceiling and can be shot down from the ledge. Floor 7: The enemies are Fire Keese and Dodongos. Floor 8: The enemies are Tektites, some red, a couple blue. Floor 9: The enemies are Bulblin Archers and Lizalfos. Floor 10: Link meets the Great Fairy. She releases Fairies to the Ordon Spring so that Link can bottle them. She reveals what Link needs to proceed any further. He can talk to her to leave the cave. A chest contains the Surprised Link Stamp. Floor 11: The enemies are Helmasaurs and a whole bunch of Rats. Link can take out the Helmasaurs from the platform. The Rats will swarm him when he reaches the floor below. To continue on, Link needs the Spinner. Floor 12: The enemy is a Large Purple Chu. It breaks into smaller Purple Chu when struck. Starting with Quest 248: "Frozen People", they met Serafi in Fake Arahagiro and gathered materials to help her formulate a cure for Simael, who was suffering a shivering sickness. A Buffalogre that King Belmud had killed became a vengeful spirit that was now attacking people in Arahagiro. Next, the party carried out Quest 249: "The True Identity of the Vengeful Spirit". After observing another of the Buffalogre spirit's attacks, the party went to the Fake Shaded Grotto in the Arahagiro Region and met the monsters they had freed from the Monster Fighting Arena. They learned that the Buffalogre was Captain Goliath. The Bodkin turned out to be Tasius, Goliath's son. Returning to Fake Arahagiro with him, the party found the Buffalogre there again. It seems he is being controlled and strengthened by Kirgil, the court mage of the late Evil Anlucia. The party will now conclude the Arahagiro substory quest line. Fake Arahagiro (time 0:31): The party resumes in the church in the Kingdom of Fake Arahagiro. At E-7, Quila has story info. She asks the party to hurry the east tenement house. In the eastern house on floor 1F, the party enters the southern room at F-6 for a scene with Serafi, Tasius, and the residents. She asks for their help, and Simael agrees. When the party arrives, Tasius explains that he has been researching ways to solidify Goliath so he can be defeated. There is a certain material that can create a magic circle with that effect. Heorot will have to collect that material first. Serafi issues Quest 250: "The Monsters' Elegy", the third quest in Arahagiro's substory quest line, "The One who Quenches the Thirst of the Desert". The party's first objective is to gather Concrete Ashes (具象の霊灰) from five Cloud Surfers (くものきょじん), which appear over the southwestern lake in the south of the Fake Arahagiro Region. The party exits south at D-8/E-8 to the Fake Arahagiro Region. Fake Arahagiro Region (time 8:10): The party goes south to the southwestern lake. Starting around B-6/C-6, they begin hunting Cloud Surfers (くものきょじん). After they have defeated five Cloud Surfers, they obtain the Concrete Ashes (具象の霊灰) key item. The next objective is to return to Serafi in Fake Arahagiro. The party Zooms to the Kingdom of Fake Arahagiro. Fake Arahagiro (time 13:43): In the eastern house on floor 1F, the party enters the southern room at F-6 for a scene with Serafi and Tasius. The party hands over the Concrete Ashes. Now, Serafi can make the magic circle to solidify Goliath's vengeful spirit. Simael and the others arrive. They have prepared the Monster Fighting Arena. Serafi's plan is to lure Kirgil and Goliath there to face Heorot. Serafi can draw the magic circle there so Goliath can be defeated. The party's next destination is the Battle Hall in the Monster Fighting Arena. The party gains control in the eastern house after the scene. They can chat with the residents for further info. At the pub in the Courtyard, Heorot changes his vocation to Level 99 Thief. The party rests at the inn on floor 1F and sets up their lineup. They save at the church. However, the party lacks a Black Crystal. They skip travel to the Oracle Spire, the Ragmos Desolation. 2:35 - The Ragmos Desolation One level below the Oracle Spire landmark, the party finds another Ether Lift spot. Again, they lack a Black Crystal. However, below the landmark, the party rescues Axel, a City Survivor. He's Finley's brother. A new quest appears in the colony. From the landmark, the party crosses the bridge northeast. They find a Keves Outpost Incursion in the Gelgemos Garrison with 14 Kevesi enemies. Up the northern stairs, Rex provides context. The party repairs a Ladder but will use it later. They focus on clearing out the garrison instead. Once the Incursion is clear, the party goes up the Ladder. They engage a Taos Egg. When it hatches, they fight the Many-Lived Derrick, a Level 42 unique Taos. Its drops include Lessons in Unity, vol. 5; a Battle Manual, vol. 17; and a Tactics Manual, vol. 17. The party views an Affinity Scene near the grave. Very interesting. A passage leads west to the Royal Green secret area. There is a Relic, whose contents include an Art Unlock Kit and a Nopon Medal. Matthew uses the kit to unlock his last Art slot. The party drops northwest to a bridge, where another Art Unlock Kit is. A uses it to unlock her last Art slot. To the south, a fallen pillar lets them jump to a cliffside path. They find another Relic, whose contents include an Affinity Growth Unlock Kit, a Nopon Medal, and a Memory Locket. Glimmer uses the kit to unlock her third Affinity Growth panel and gets some upgrades. In the northwest of the garrison, the party finds a Black Shard atop a lookout tower. Then, dropping to the north, they land atop a tower on the ground below with a Container. Contents include a Nopon Medal. North of the garrison, the party talks to Jethro. He issues the standard quest "Regret and Resolve". The party must seek three keepsakes in the area. In the northeast of the area, they find a Brass Locket. South of Jethro's position, the party finds a Tarnished Ring. They seal a Fog Rift in the valley southwest of the garrison. They earn a Black Crystal. Near the rift, the party finds the third keepsake, a Bloody Bandana. They can report to Jethro. Northeast of the base of the Oracle Spire, the party finds an Affinity Growth Unlock Kit. A uses it to unlock her third Affinity Growth panel. They find a Black Crystal on the east side of the Oracle Spire's base. A Container is on the southern side. The contents include a Nopon Medal. The party finds an Ether Channel by a cliff south of the garrison. Up the slope southwest of the garrison, the party finds the Fallen Gate of Ulcaria landmark. Magwall Road is to the northwest atop the slope. The party returns to Jethro north of the garrison and talks to him for a scene. Drat. After the scene, it is boss time against a Keves Patrol Squad, comprised of a Patrol Equites and five Keves Patrollers. Another scene takes place after the battle. "Regret and Resolve" complete! The party skip travels to the Oracle Spire landmark. Down a level, they construct the Ether Lift. It takes them up to the Godreading Altar secret area. He picks up a Job Point upgrade for 7 points. He has now spent 273 Job Points in total as Red Mage. He has 3 Job Points left over. In his delivery box, he receives gil for a scroll of Reraise III, a stack of Earth Crystals, and a Wind Cluster that sold at auction. Many thanks to the buyers! He also gets back a stack of Earth Crystals, a Gold Nugget, and an Aluminum Ingot that did not sell. Then, Heorot heads out to Bastok Mines. After summoning his Trust NPCs, he hunts some more Eschan Il'aern in this zone. Heorot accrues 6 Job Points for an overall total of 282 Job Points earned. He has a current total of 9 Job Points. When he has finished for now, he uses the Undulating Confluence at H-11 to return to Misareaux Coast, Tavnazian Archipelago. Misareaux Coast (time 52:48): Heorot arrives at G-5. Just down the hill to the west, he uses Home Point #1 at G-5 to teleport to Port Jeuno. Port Jeuno (time 53:26): Heorot trades his Crests to Shami at H-8 for storage.
