It seems we can't get away from the pedos as among the evidence we've gather is a photo of another young girl inside a briefcase full of coke. Is this going to be what breaks the case wide open for me? Stay tuned and find out.

As per usual I'm going in blind, and this video is raw and unedited. As of the time I started to upload this video, the demo is still available on Steam. I'm going to go ahead and say I did end up putting this on my wishlist. Yes, the game play you see is terrible, but this is the kind of game I could see myself devoting the time to get ok with it. This was my first taste of a true souls like game. Now, it's not something I'm going to rush right out and buy. And I debated even posting the video with gameplay so bad, but I've decided it ok. I don't mind looking the scrub and the fool. If it helps anyone at all to see me struggle with it decide if it's for them or not, that's what matters most. It's no marketing material, of someone going in totally blind. That has zero experience with the type of game. So here it is. If there is even a possibility it helps someone assess the game, then I don't really care too much if someone watches it and judges me.

And here is something new. I've been aware of GameJolt for a while, but it's not what I thought it was. I thought it was kind of like Itch io, and it is to the extent that there seems to be developers selling and giving games away. But it also appears to be a social media of sorts. I'll explore it more in the future. Not sure what, if anything I'll post here but if I do, there you go, I here too.

This one wasn't quite first time game play footage, as I had accidently played for a while, thinking I was recording but I actually wasn't. So, I was just sitting here talking to myself playing games, which I do anyway...
The one thing I regret here is not letting the opening play out again. Because the comic book style art they used was fantastic, but this game doesn't let you speed up sections of it, it's either sit and watch the whole thing in it's own time, or skip it. Now I could have let some of it play then skipped the rest, but that didn't occur to me until after the fact.
There is a lot to like here, but it's not for me.

The short notes:
I really dig this art style. Even more than I like Stray Gods, still going for a comic look, but this is a more traditional comics style, and it's just fantastic. The voice acting is a bit of a mixed bag, but it's more good than not. And the stuff that isn't great, is still both entertaining and serviceable. I personally kind of have a love/hate relationship with point n click adventure games. But I'd encourage folks to check it out, for sure.

I've once again gone ahead and made an executive decision to release this video ahead of several others that are already recorded and read to go, and once again I've done so because of the game being currently on sale, over on gog for $6 currently. I don't know when it went on sale or for how long it will be, so we'll share the video now as the game is normally priced at $20.
If you notice the audio glitch at the end of the video, don't worry about it. Just remember I'm not actually editing in those intros and outros, they are being added in real time at the time of recording. As to the game itself. It's like I said, I like all the individual parts, but I'm not totally sure I like this thing as a whole. I'm half tempted to just by it now while it's on sale and throw it on the backlog. I could, and probably will, put it on my wishlist and either wait for a bigger sale, or just a sale in the future as I'm not trying to spend money right now. I may also just wash my hands of it and say, meh it was good but not good enough. Not that it matters either way. But of the dozens of people likely to see this, I'm betting it will appeal to at least one of you that didn't know about it before. I left links to the free prologue and the game itself up above.

Ok, so originally this was supposed to be raw footage of me firing up the game for the first time and you getting to see me fumble with it and figure it out with no commentary. However, my first video that I actually did better in by pulling some better cards didn't record properly. So you get my second time playing it instead. I still didn't fully know what I was doing, but I had a much better idea. I only lasted longer on my first one due to getting some better cards. I'll to a written review that I'll link in the comments when it's completed.

It's getting brutal out there folks. But as they say, you play with fire you get burned. But what happens to low level street thugs look to come up is the least of our concerns. Enter, FU Dog.

Quick housecleaning note... Yeah, I don't know what my deal was. I explained the story totally and completely wrong. While it was right there in front of me. I don't know what caused me to do that. I guess my memory of the story was kind of vague. For the record. Our father was an explorer, not a scientist. Our mother was queen of the Moon. But there was no invasion, her people turned on her. She fled with your father to Earth, and they had you. Now your mother is dying and your father is too old and weak to go himself. You need to go to the moon to collect ?gems? and save her. That's the actual plot. My synopsis had little to do with what it's really about. My apologies. Mea Culpa.
I actually do really love this game. As a total package it just works for me. There are flaws to be sure. It's greatest crime is being slightly basic. But combined with everything else including the price point, it more than the sum of it's parts individually would be.
