Founded on the Resurrection Message for Easter Sunday
#churchonline #digical #rlccphil
We are here today because of an extraordinary event that happened two thousand years ago which was reported to us by eyewitnesses as recorded in the Scriptures, especially in the book of Acts. This is no other than the resurrection of Jesus. We can believe in this testimony even though we were not there when it happened. Unfortunately, today not everyone believes in this testimony about Jesus. For if you truly believe, your whole life purpose and direction will change!
Right Choices | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
5 Moses writes this about the righteousness that is by the law: “The person who does these things will live by them.” 6 But the righteousness that is by faith says: “Do not say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’” (that is, to bring Christ down) 7 “or ‘Who will descend into the deep?’” (that is, to bring Christ up from the dead). 8 But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the message concerning faith that we proclaim: 9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile — the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” (Romans 10:5-13)
Salvation is not an impossible task because with God nothing is impossible. Often, people will make it so difficult because they do not understand the simplicity of the Gospel. They want to make it complicated because they don't want to receive something that they have not worked hard for. This is no other than pride or self-righteousness. All we really have to do is make the right choices. God has done everything necessary for our salvation.

25 On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. “Teacher,” he asked, “what must I do to inherit eternal life?” 26 “What is written in the Law?” he replied. “How do you read it?” 27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’” 28 “You have answered correctly,” Jesus replied. “Do this and you will live.” 29 But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, “And who is my neighbor?” 30 In reply Jesus said: “A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho, when he was attacked by robbers. They stripped him of his clothes, beat him and went away, leaving him half dead. 31 A priest happened to be going down the same road, and when he saw the man, he passed by on the other side. 32 So too, a Levite, when he came to the place and saw him, passed by on the other side. 33 But a Samaritan, as he traveled, came where the man was; and when he saw him, he took pity on him. 34 He went to him and bandaged his wounds, pouring on oil and wine. Then he put the man on his own donkey, brought him to an inn and took care of him. 35 The next day he took out two denarii and gave them to the innkeeper. ‘Look after him,’ he said, ‘and when I return, I will reimburse you for any extra expense you may have.’ 36 “Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?” 37 The expert in the law replied, “The one who had mercy on him.” Jesus told him, “Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10:25-37)
Being a disciple of Jesus is God's calling for all of us. But it is also a calling that has a definite purpose. We are to become faithful and fruitful over time through our cooperation with the Holy Spirit who is at work in us to make us willing and able to do his will. It is not simply about going through the routines and rituals of the Christian life. It's about a life of adventure and discovery of God's will as we follow Jesus each and every day.

Main Idea: “To be a faithful and fruitful disciple, we must remain purposeful.” (“Para maging tapat at mabungang alagad, kailangan manatiling may layunin.”)
How do you become a faithful and fruitful disciple?
Three Important Principles to Remember
1. Salvation is not just about the afterlife (v.25).
2. Discipleship is about love without excuses (vv.26-29).
3. Mission is about being a neighbor to a person in need (vv.30-37).

An important aspect of prayer is listening to God, not just talking to or with Him.

Often when we are experiencing desolation, we forget that the Lord is with us and He will not abandon us. We must continue trusting in Him in spite of what we are experiencing at the moment. We must be patient and expect God's consolation soon enough.

How can I pray when I am so busy? Good question. Although the struggle is real, there are ways to develop a vibrant prayer life even though you're busy. Join me as I discuss this topic. I will entertain questions at the end of my presentation.

A New Kind of Freedom | Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
1 Do you not know, brothers and sisters — for I am speaking to those who know the law — that the law has authority over someone only as long as that person lives? 2 For example, by law a married woman is bound to her husband as long as he is alive, but if her husband dies, she is released from the law that binds her to him. 3 So then, if she has sexual relations with another man while her husband is still alive, she is called an adulteress. But if her husband dies, she is released from that law and is not an adulteress if she marries another man. 4 So, my brothers and sisters, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit for God. 5 For when we were in the realm of the flesh, the sinful passions aroused by the law were at work in us, so that we bore fruit for death. 6 But now, by dying to what once bound us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code. (Romans 7:1-6)
We are now under a new kind of slavery, one that does not imprison us but rather liberates us to truly live holy lives. In other words, our new slavery is now our new freedom, as we have learned. But what is the nature of this new freedom that we have in Christ?
