Paul Murphy - 'Where Does The Sun Go To At Night?' .Take 2 - 'punk lullably' version of Emily's poem
'Where Does The Sun Go To At Night?' is a poem composed by my amazingly talented daughter, written for her school project on space. Well, it was written on paper actually [boom, er, boom]. I was honoured to be allowed to contribute a few ideas - none of them as good as hers - and I came up with a tune to wrap underneath her words.
A week and several acoustic versions on, I felt like cutting a bit loose with it. Given that her favourite album is John Lennon's "Rock N' Roll", I figure she would play it like this when she grows up in any case!
Her words, by the way, are quite allegorical and metaphorical really, although I am not sure she knows that, since she is 9! I was just glad to be invited to the party.
Love and respect,
Me / Dad

On a tertiary note, whilst here, if I may be so bold - I am uploading videos of my songs, my performances, my prose recitals, etc, to raise funds for my most amazing children, who get any donations when they reach 16. I have Progressive Palsy F-MND, and - well, and. There is no cure.
If you have enjoyed this video, and would care to make a small donation for them, many sincere thanks and much gratitude, from both myself, and from them via myself; the link is
