The problem is that I cannot find the translated text, just a few small excepts from it...so I don't know if he ever talked about dragons. Although, this is consistent with descriptions given by other writers during this time.

This recipe is from the Forme of Cury, one of the earliest manuscript recipe collections in Middle English, written around 1390 at the request of King Richard II.
