I Was Ready To Call It But Then I Started Seeing Redfish In The Grass
Well I had an absolute grind of a day out on Wappoo and was ready to call it quits. I had gone out with the goal of doing some sheepshead fishing in an area I'd found some on a previous trip but on my way to the spot I located some schools of redfish. I threw at them for over an hour and didn't have any bites. I went and tried to target sheepshead like I'd planned but I didn't really catch anything. I was ready to call it quits and was on my way out but then I started seeing redfish in the grass.
After 5 hours of nothing I managed to save my trip with a couple big reds in the grass. I lost a 3rd on that I didn't get a good hook set on but I won't lose sleep over that one. The lure that saved my day was a baby vudu shrimp weighing only 1/16th oz.
I've since gone back with actual lure throwing setups and done very well on this same flat and tide so stay tuned for those videos in the coming uploads. Thank you all for watching and remember to make some time for fishing.

I went out exploring a local pond and canal system in search of some winter time largemouth bass and man did I find them! I caught several sizable bass on my ultra light setup and unfortunately had my heart broken by a massive bass right at the end of the day. I shed a few tears and had some choice words about the loss but I already have a game plan for how to land him next time.
I was mainly using a spinnerbait on this trip but I caught the last 2 or 3 on a tiny 1/32 oz jig head with a 2" berkley gulp minnow.

This trip was from about 2 months ago out in the creeks near Sullivan's Island. I was using fiddler crabs and a small split shot rig on an afternoon where I only had a few hours to fish and there were unfavorably strong winds. I ended up getting on a quick, good quality bite and had a fun time on this quick fishing trip.
I didn't catch any monsters on this trip but the average size for the sheepshead was very solid at about 15 or 16 inches. I hope you all enjoyed this video and I'll see you next time! Be safe out there and remember to make some time for fishing.

I decided to try my hand at a catch and cook video by making some fresh speckled trout ceviche! I went inshore fishing on my kayak once again and got into some good speckled sea trout, but this time I mainly used the salty ned rig. The day before was tropical storm Isaias so the water was weirdly cold as was the weather so I wasn't sure what to expect going into the morning.
I ended up catching two slot sized spotted seatrout and took them home to get cleaned up for some delicious, fresh ceviche. I made the cooking portion of the video very detailed so that if anybody is interested in making the recipe (which is absolutely delicious), you can make it just by following along to the video. If any of you try the recipe please let me know below what you think!
Even if you don't try the recipe, let me know what you think of the format I went with, doing catch n' cooks is brand new to me and this is my first attempt so I'd appreciate any suggestions or feedback.
I hope you enjoyed the video and please let me know in the comments below anything else you’d like to see me do next. Thanks for watching!

I went out on the marsh to do some inshore fishing with the goal of seeing what fish I could catch from my kayak on some live finger mullet. I ended up catching a good number of speckled trout, some sharpnose sharks, and a good sized whiting.
I've had my kayak for about a month, and so far I've been really impressed with ,my new lifetime tamarack 10' angler kayak. For the money it's a really sturdy fishing platform that I think will keep me on the water for a long time to come. It's not going to win any races or anything like that, but for a few mile round trip day of fishing it's completely effective at the types of fishing I like to do. If you have any questions about how I've set mine up or anything like that I can do a walk through of my kayak gear in the future, just ask in the comments.
Thanks for watching and if you liked what you saw or had any suggestions please let me know in the comments.

About a month ago I caught my first redfish on the fly and ever since then I've been waiting for the weather to cooperate for me to try again. Well, it finally happened. I went out at dead low tide on an early morning in the marsh and found a TON of redfish tailing and crawling. I managed to catch a few fish on this morning including a massive PB which I actually managed to sight cast. I got some epic shots of the action and I hope you all enjoy this video! They definitely got bigger from last time!
Let me know down below if you'd like to see more fly fishing videos in the future, I expect to be able to do this more often as we get into the Fall and Winter. Thanks for watching!

The most fun fishing of the year is finally upon us and the inshore bite is on fire! Redfish, trout, and flounder are all starting to school up in numbers which makes for some of the best fishing trips of the year! On this trip, I found a pocket of VERY hungry redfish and flounder that were more than happy to hit both lures and live mullet on a jig head. I had so much fun and can't wait to get back out there and do this again!

On this trip I had two goals: to show a great beginner sheepshead rig that WILL help you catch your first sheep and to do a new catch and cook. Well, the odds ended up working in our favor and we had a high quality day of action which ended up back home on the grill.
