Today we take a look at the Gerber Pledge. This is a budget edc folder, with 7Cr17mov steel reverse tanto blade, a green/lichen colored glass reinforced nylon handle, and a liner lock. The pocket clip is reversible for those left or right handed people, and its carried tip up. If you a little OCD, you may notice that even though the blade is well centered in the handle while closed, the spine of the blade is not parallel with the edge of the handle. Though that does look like an easy fix. The thumb stud has much to be desired, not impossible to use, but not easy to deploy for me using said thumb stud. The thumb stud does appear to to be able to swapped to the other side though, and that may help eliminate issues for me. The last issue for me is what appears to be a secondary lock "feature", though it may just need a bit more refining, where the back of the blade meets the liner lock.
