A short tutorial on painting storm clouds and skies using acrylic paint on strathmore watercolor paper with tinted gesso. After prepping the paper I show the process for creating cloud shapes using titanium white and payne's gray. Then I apply a thin mixture of satin glazing liquid and transparent quinacridone nickel azo gold to tone the painting. The bluish payne's gray mixes with the yellowish nickel to create a green storm cloud effect.
