Weaver U25B Burlington Route with MTH PS2 upgrade.avi
Here is another Protosound 2 upgrade I performed. This time to a Weaver U25B. I completed upgrades to two U25Bs by Weaver both Burlington Route cab #s 100 and 103. Like all my upgrades I perform I like to have options when it comes to lighting. In this case, I have drilled out the holes on the nose for the MARs lights. I then installed the head lights where they normally go, over the cab. Since this is a "Burlington" item CB&Q like putting the MARS lights where the headlights are and putting headlights on the nose. But CB&Q U-boats were a little different. Instead of the MARS on top of cab, they put them on the nose and I followed my conversion accordingly. The cab interior is lighted and can be turned on or off as well as the Marker lights. Because of the sound file I choose (mainly for the horn sound) I didn't have MARS option, so i just used the ditch light operation as my MARS. The sound file is a U25B from MTH website. With two powered U25Bs I now can make a great lash-up!

Hi guys- Here is another review of a great looking locomotive from MTH Electric trains. This is an ES44AC in Iowa Interstate colors. It's a true 1/48 scale O-gauge model. I received this back in early June but just got around to posting the review. I have all three cab numbers 500,502,&507 and I also have the non-powered unit cab# 510. I plan to power-up the non powered unit- then I'll have four powered units. In the near future I plan to do a video in which I lash-up all units!!! I plan to do that shortly. In the meantime- enjoy this review of this great engine!

Here is another video of a U30C, Lionel's version . Lashed to this unit is my Lionel GP30. I have a dual powered lash-up here as they pass around my temporary layout. Lead engine is the U30C. The tail engine is the GP30. Both have sound operating here (just like MTH lash-ups) just like the prototypes.
The Smoke units are running in the beginning but later I shut them off, I find that Lionel's smoke units are not as reliable as MTH's.
Again- this is just a little video i put together so people can see and hear MTH or Lionel products and decide what they might like and get in the future.
