Trump's done both good and bad things -- along with some ugly things.
THE GOOD
-- Repealed regulations
-- Booming economy
-- His messaging encourages people to look for work again
-- His judges support free speech and private property
-- He opposes political correctness
THE BAD
-- Trump's Ukraine maneuver
-- Rising government spending
-- His ignorant tariffs
-- His failure to end our wars
THE UGLY
-- Trump's childish insults and bullying
-- His lies
-- His narcissism ("I’m an extremely stable genius")
Trump will probably win re-election, according to the bettors at ElectionBettingOdds.com.
I hope we then get more of the good President Trump and less of the bad.

Facebook censors my video, calling it “partly false.”

Before Facebook censored it, my video, “Are We Doomed”, got more 24 million views.
You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b8JZo6PzpCU
Now Facebook won't show it to many people — not even to my subscribers. Facebook's also punishing Stossel TV by showing our other videos less.
All because Facebook foolishly gave Emmanuel Vincent, a recent PhD graduate from France, the power to censor.
Vincent assembled a group of like-minded scientists into a group called Climate Feedback climatefeedback.org that declared parts of my video “misleading," or "partially false."
What facts did the “fact-checkers” correct? NONE! There was not a single hard fact that in the video that was wrong.
We address the censor’s claims here, listing our sources: https://www.johnstossel.com/climate-feedback-response/
I asked one Vincent “reviewer,” the only one willing to be interviewed, why I deserve censorship even though our facts were correct.
“The problem is the omission of contextual information rather than specific "facts" being "wrong,”" says Patrick Brown, Assistant Professor at San Jose State University.
Some “fact-check."
“What kills me,” I complain to Brown, “is that when Climate Feedback rates me partly false, that significantly reduces the number of people who see it -- and see my other videos. So this is really important to me that it be done fairly.”
“I am sympathetic with what you're saying,” he responds. “At the same time as a
consumer of information, I like the idea of having some type of system where content can be compared to what experts think.”
But Facebook’s choice of "experts" is absurd.
Emmanuel Vincent proudly says “all the climate scientists that I know personally agree that climate change is real, that it’s serious, and we can do something about it.”
Well, of course climate change is real! But how serious a threat it is, and whether we can do much about it with today’s technology deserves debate. Victor’s little group STOPS debate.
Remarkably, Facebook lets them.

Florida man may lose home because he didn’t cut his grass.

Jim Ficken left his home to take care of his recently deceased mother's estate. While away, the man he paid to cut his lawn died. The grass in Ficken's yard grew more than 10 inches long.
The city of Dunedin has an ordinance against long grass. City officials fined Ficken $500 a day. Over time the fines added up to almost $30,000.
"I was shocked," Ficken tells John Stossel, "It was just amazing that they would fine me that much."
Ficken doesn't have $30,000, and now the city wants to foreclose on his home.
Ficken's Lawyer, Ari Bargil of the Institute for Justice, points out that the city had other options: "Hire a lawn service to come out and mow the grass, and send Jim a bill for 150 bucks, but they didn't do that."
The reason, says Bargil, is that the city "wants the money. Code enforcement is a major cash cow for the city."
Dunedin collected $34,000 in fines in 2007. Last year, the fines ballooned to $1.3 million. "That's an almost 4,000% increase," Bargil tells Stossel, adding the city attorney "has called their code enforcement body a 'well-oiled machine.'"
The city released a statement, saying they "have come under recent unfair criticism." They argue that Ficken is a "repeat offender" and has a "chronic history" of not maintaining his property.
Stossel confronts Ficken, "The town says you're kind of a public nuisance." Ficken admits he is a "bit of a slob" but adds "I got everything taken care of when they notified me."
Bargil argues Dunedin's big fines violate the 8th Amendment. It not only protects us from cruel and unusual punishment but also from "excessive fines."
Stossel agrees: what's more excessive than politicians taking your home because you didn't cut your grass?

Pennsylvania regulators are forcing truck drivers to buy trucks outside Pennsylvania.
The crazy part: they didn’t even make the rules; they were made by California.

“We have no say, we can’t do anything about it,” says Brian Wanner the owner of Peter Brothers Trucking, “I don’t want to be anything like California.”
But that’s too bad, because Pennsylvania’s Environmental Quality Board decided to automatically copy rules from California.
The newest rules will raise the cost of new trucks by more than $50,000.
The regulators say these rules are important to stop pollution.
That’s dumb, says Wanner, “In 1980, 1 truck produced as much as 60 trucks today.”
“So, we want people to buy new trucks,” I ask?
“You want people to buy new trucks,” responds Wanner. “But if you put these costs on us that we cannot afford, we're going to just run the older trucks.”
That’s something the regulators don’t think about.
In fact, there’s a lot they don’t think about. Their decision hurts truck sellers, won’t stop pollution, could be unconstitutional, and will only get more expensive when California mandates "all electric."
All that and more in the video above.

Hurricane Ian destroyed parts of Florida.
As always, we're told that only FEMA can provide relief.
That storms are worse because of climate change.
That “price gouging" is evil.
That federal flood insurance is necessary, and helps poor people.
Little of that is true.
Until we learn the myths about storms, we’ll make the same costly mistakes again and again.

Professor John McWhorter, author of "Woke Racism," argues that condescending leftist ideology hurts black people.

I learned a lot from this full, half-hour interview with Columbia linguist John McWhorter.
He argues that "Woke Racism" hurts black people in many ways: from treating them as incapable of logic, to calling for abolition of tests, to insisting that violent kids stay in schools.
He says that all these ideas are propped by a religion-like ideology that "requires that you sequester your brain for illogical thinking."
