You play as Kira Parker, a down-on-her-luck exterminator barely making ends meet. When working a job one night, an alien invasion starts tearing apart the city, and in the crossfire they manage to destroy the only thing that Parker had left; her van. With nothing left to lose, she fights her way through the streets to tackle the invasion head-on, and figure out just what the hell is happening in this city.
TLE is a boomer shooter which uses a custom made engine for the best "I can't believe this isn't the Build Engine" you've ever experienced. For a first release, it feels polished, plays fine, secrets are cool, and weapons feel great.

What you happens you pick up a meme game such as "When it's done" Duke Nukem Forever, and gets picked up from the trash can and rushed to release by another meme such as Randy Pitchford? Well, the game underdelivers. This game came out too late, and came without the layer of polish it needed for the times being. Had it come out like in... 2003 and we'd probably be talking about it as a classic. In 2011? It was so mediocre at everything and looked so dated that no doubt it got bashed. However, this isn't by any means the worst FPS ever, not even by a long stretch, the DLC is even decent.

¿Qué es lo que ocurre cuando coges un juego meme tal como "Cuando esté terminado" Duke Nukem Forever, y lo rescata del cubo de la basura otro meme tal como Randy Pitchford para apurarlo y lanzarlo? Bueno, pues que el juego no cumple expectativas. Este juego salio demasiado tarde, y vino sin la pulida que le hacía falta para los tiempos que corrían. Si hubiese salido en... 2003 probablemente estaríamos hablando de un clásico. ¿En 2011? Pues era tan mediocre y lucía tan anticuado que con razón fue vapuleado. De todas formas, este no es de ninguna manera el peor FPS de la historia, pero ni de largo. El DLC es hasta decente.

No commentary playthrough of the Wheel of Time partial conversion for Doom 2. Showing all attainable secrets. Played under the "Russian Doom" sourceport for compatibility, as this mod doesn't get along with other ports very well.
This is a mod for Doom2 from 1996, based off the books from Robert Jordan. Today it might not look like anything special, but back in the day it had a couple of very interesting levels and did very nice stuff gameplay/wise via Dehacked.

Esto es mod para Doom2 de 1996, basado en los libros de Robert Jordan. Hoy no parece gran cosa, pero en su día tenía un par de niveles muy interesantes y hacía cosas muy chulas en el departamento de gameplay con Dehacked.

*FOREWARNING!: Keep in mind that everything shown here is very incomplete and unpolished. It's an alpha version with lots of content, but none of it is final at all. It is buggy and it will break. That's why I don't hesitate using cheats.*
It finally has shown on the Internet! This is the Duke Nukem Forever we've always wanted, the one from that freaking epic trailer from E3 2001. The game has a more serious tone, and it does look very promising (for 2001 that is)... Heck, it even has Doom3 style interactive consoles... in 2001!
This playthrough goes through the first episode of the game, the Lady Killer. I've skipped the first intro sequence level and it's extremely broken and incomplete, so this footage starts right after that. Since sometimes I don't even know if progression is possible due the incompleteness of the build, I don't hesitate using cheats... this is to show the thing anyway. Enjoy a piece of gaming history!

¡Por fin ha asomado por Internet! Este es el Duke Nukem Forecer que siempre hemos querido, el del épico tráiler del E3 del 2001. El juego tiene un tono más serio, y luce muy prometedor (para 2001 eso es)... Joer, si hasta tiene consolas interactivas como las de Doom3... ¡en 2001!
Este playthrough es del primer episodio del juego, el Lady Killer. Me he saltado el primer mapa, ya que es la secuencia de introducción y está muy rota e incompleta, así que este metraje empieza despues de eso. Ya que a veces ni siquiera sé si progresar es posible dado la naturaleza incompleta de esta build, no dudo en usar trampas... estamos aquí para verlo al final. ¡Disfrutar de un pedacito de historia del videojuego!

No commentary playthrough of the total conversion mod for Doom 2 "Ashes Afterglow". Played on Apocalypse skill level, getting all secrets and aiming for a "good" ending.
Afterglow is the sequel for Ashes 2063, where the World faces the consequences of your actions. Aside from new levels, enemies, weapons, textures, and music... This time around the game also has a bit of hub based questing, where your actions and acquaintances will trigger multiple endings.
Imho, this mod is not only candidate for "mod of the year" awards, but "indie game of the year" awards.

Playthrough sin comentar de la conversión total para Doom 2 "Ashes Afterglow". Jugada en dificultad Apocalípsis, consiguiendo todos los secretos y buscando el final "bueno".
Afterglow es la secuela de Ashes 2063, donde el mundo se enfrenta a las consecuencias de tus acciones. Además de nuevos niveles, enemigos, armas, texturas, y música... Esta vez el juego también tiene misiones que deberemos completar (o no), en un entorno dividido en bloques de varios niveles interconectados entre sí, donde nuestras acciones y amistades detonarán diversos finales.
En mi honesta opinión, este mod no es solamente candidato para "mod del año", sino "juego indie del año".

No commentary playthrough of Wolfenstein 3D for the PowerPC Apple Macintosh series of computers, using MacenWolf, "Second Encounter" level set. Getting every kill, treasure and secret. "I'm A Death Incarnate" difficulty.
MacenWolf is a PC port of the Macintosh version of Wolfenstein 3D, which was based on the SNES version, but featured all violence and natsi references, as well as 2x resolution graphics and two new weapons. I also used the "Second Encounter" level set, which are the 30 trimmed down levels from the SNES version. I also upscaled the video from 1080p to 4K so you can enjoy the playthrough at a better quality due to increased bitrate.
Not much more to say, it's Wolf3D, with better graphics and a couple more features, with the only compromise that every enemy only features front facing enemies... Which I strongly dislike, and I prefer the og PC version. This version is also the foundation for the 3DO and Jaguar versions of the game.

MacenWolf es un port de PC de la version de Macintosh de Wolf3D, que a su vez estaba basado en la version de SNES, pero conservando toda la violencia y referencias natsis del original, además de texturas al doble de resolución y dos armas nuevas. También he usado el set de niveles "Second Encounter", que son los 30 niveles recortados de la versión de SNES. He resampleado el vídeo de 1080p a 4K para mayor calidad de vídeo gracias al bitrate mejorado.
No hay mucho más que decir, es Wolf3D, con mejores gráficos y un par de cosas a mayores, con el único recorte de que todos los enemigos siempre están mirando a la cámara... lo que no me gusta nada, y por ello prefiero la versión de PC. Esta versión además es en la que se basan las de 3DO y Jaguar.

Wolfstone 3D is the easter egg included in Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, where you can play original Wolf3d on an arcade machine. It's Wolf3D, but the graphics have been altered so the good guys are the natsis, and the evil ones are Blazkowich and his rebellion friends. Every natsi reference has been also removed from the game. A few levels also had relevant changes and one is completely new

Wolfstone 3D es un huevo de pascua incluído en Wolfenstein: The New Colossus, donde puedes jugar el Wolf3D en una máquina arcade. Es Wolf3D, sólo que los gráficos han sido cambiados para que los buenos sean los natsis y los malos Blazkowich y sus amigos de la rebelión. Tambien se han quitado todas las referencias natsis del juego. Algunos niveles han recibido cambios relevantes y uno es completamente nuevo.

No commentary playthrough of 1999's Wold War II: GI. Played through eDuke32 in normal difficulty getting all secrets.
WWII: GI is the sequel to Team TNT's (not the Doom modding team) NAM/Napalm. Being only a marginal improvement over its predecessor, this time around the flipped assets from Duke Nukem 3D were kepts to a minimum, and doesn't feel that much like a D3D mod. As you might've guessed already, it's a World War 2 first person shooter, hard as nails, unforgiving, with inaccurate weapons, with medkits that force you to stay put while you heal, with snipertowns... but at least they ditched the random bombardments that killed you once and again in NAM. If NAM came way too late for a Build engined game, you can figure out how this game fared.

WWII: GI es la secuela que los chicos de TeamTNT (no el equipo que moddeaba Doom) sacaron de NAM/Napalm. Siendo solamente una mejora marginal sobre su predecesor, esta vez los recursos prestados de Duke Nukem 3D sin mínimos, y tampoco se siente como un mod para el mismo. Como habrás adivinado, es un shooter de la 2ª Guerra Mundial, difícil de coj****, con armas poco precisas, botiquines que te obligan a quedarte quieto mientras te curas, con ciudades repletas de francotiradores... pero al menos descartaron los bombardeos aleatorios que te mataban todo el rato en NAM. Si NAM salio muy tarde para un juego del motor Build, podrás imaginarte el éxito de este.
