My intrepid editor, Chris at Podsworth Media, cut the episode from about 50 minutes to about 40 just by removing “ums” and awkward pauses, so I have a little work to do. But you can’t grow a muscle if you don’t work it out, right?

Ever since reading The Crucible in tenth grade, I have always been quite interested in the phenomenon of mass hysteria. I almost started a podcast on the subject, chronicling history’s hysterias. As it turns out, I’m not much of a hystorian (though I do secretly hope someone steals the idea).
