Logseq and Obsidian are two heavyweights in the PKM / note-taking space.
To save you the time of watching this video if you're trying to figure out which one is for you, I don't have a definitive answer. Both applications are fantastic, and they can complement each other in various workflows. Obviously I prefer Logseq, otherwise I would have a channel that looks at Obsidian

If you're struggling to manage all your notes and information across personal, professional and academic life, then this is for you. I've built out a structured approach to mastering Logseq from the bottom-up, so that you don't need to navigate through a mass of disparate YouTube tutorials.
Logseq is a powerful combination of a text editor, an outliner, and a bi-directional linking tool, but there is admittedly a learning curve. The course has a wealth of write-ups, videos and diagrams to smooth your transition and quickly master the set of tools available to you in Logseq.

Keeping on top of multiple projects is hard. I've used PowerPoint, Excel, Airtable, Notion, Mural, Logseq to manage multiple projects, but I've always found there to be something lacking. But just as Airtable and Logseq were 'game changers' that helped me shift workflows, Tana has helped me do that in a project management sense.
I've finally found a way to integrate the integrate the 50,000 foot view with the 10,000 foot view if you're familiar with David Allen's Getting Things Done. In this video, I share my system for managing projects and tasks, and also what I call 'open loops' in Tana.

My guest for this #LogseqLegends session is Brian Sunter. He is most well-known as the developer of the popular Open AI and Get Youtube Captions plugin. I got him on the channel to talk about his workflow for publishing his notes to his website.
He uses the Logseq Schrodinger plugin to export his notes to Hugo compatible markdown, and the rest is a elegantly automated with GitHub.

Spoiler alert: I'm not the biggest fan of using namespaces.
Using namespaces in Logseq can be very tempting to structure your data in a familiar way, but they tend to be unhelpful and restrictive in the long run.
In this video, I'm going to break down how they are useful and how my approach to using namespaces has evolved. I'll share some practical ideas for where you can use namespaces in your own database, but also draw attention to their drawbacks.

In this video I breakdown the step-by-step process of integrating Logseq and Zotero, and trouble shoot one or two issues that I had.
Zotero is a great reference management software, and I wish I had known about Zotero when I had written my thesis many years ago (I also wish I had had this combination of tools!)
Hopefully this can help you with your academic (or even general) writing process ?
