Duncan Cowper is back at home from the US where he competed at Pykes Peak. He's back now but his Turbo Busa Dax Rush is still in Denver. Who knows when or how it will find it's way home? No matter though because we had a quick (and impromptu) visit with Duncan to talk about his epic Pykes Peak run and about an upcoming show we'll do with him, ... whenever he gets his car back! ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mv5f5UOEQ8

Yes really!
In this exclusive new video to 7Spot we take a look at Ben Bonfield's two single-seater hill climb cars, a Jedi and an OMS. Space frame chassis, bike engine and double wishbone suspension will be familiar to kit car owners, but this combination has a much more narrow focus.
Ben’s two 1000cc hill climb racers weigh around 300kg each and produce 200bhp – which is 667bhp/ton (compared to just 523bhp/ton for the Veyron) and can be bought for less than £10,000. In fact at the time of writing one is for sale with a 600cc engine, needing a little work for just £3000! If you thought single-seater cars were the reserve of the rich, think again.
Ben takes us through both of his cars – which in the age-old phrase are similar but different – giving an insight into what is under the skin of these purebred racers.
If your ambition is to race a car with wings & slicks, you should watch this video.
Last time we looked at his classic Mini crossbred with a BMW motorcycle engine – link to the video here – (https://youtu.be/SEOKCjfNkbE).

Kitfest was first held in 2019 and is now an established part of the current kit car show circuit, and is organized by the North West Kit Cars Owners Group (NWKCOG). Held at the Santa Pod Raceway it is more Go than Show as on Saturday there are drag strip demonstration runs, a live-action arena and various other activities as part of the Best Of British Show. As well as Kitfest the Transitmania show is running all weekend, as well as the opportunity to take your car up the strip. Remember this is a prebook-only show, you can't pay on the day.
Join Trevor as he previews what you can expect to see over the weekend.

Recently 7Spot Trevor paid a visit to the Weston-Super-Mare Pageant of Transport.
This event took place on the beach lawns next to the seafront in Weston-Super-Mare, Somerset, UK.
Traditionally it has been a show for classic cars but it also featured a wide variety of transport options including manufactured and home-built Kit Cars.
Come with us as we explore a brief video featuring some of these Kit Cars as Trevor offers salient points about these fabulous Kit Cars.
We'll see some 7s, some "classic-style roadsters and some kits that may be unknown to you.

It was a beautiful day, with beautiful cars and a truly wonderful event.

Unboxing a 7s windscreen mirror that was designed for maximum field of view in racing applications.
Old style "long range" multiple panel mirrors were designed to track a car passing across from one panel to the next (you always see 100% of the car).
The Safeview mirror offers specific view angles which enhance visibility forward and back, thus allowing the driver to make better driving decisions.
