I feel so fortunate to have built this awesome display! We met Dan Angell at the Minneapolis Home & Garden show in the spring of 2019. Dan had owned water features before but was never happy with the flow rates. Dan & Stacey wanted a way to really have their resort, Angell's Hideaway in Emily Minnesota, stand out... but they also wanted something their guests could enjoy... Join Justin and I as we head up north for our first consultation... then the team comes in for this impressive waterfall! This is going to be a 3 part episode! I'm really excited because we were able to bring our team & their families up to Angell's Hideaway for the week. I'm excited to show off just how awesome this resort is! We had a blast building our Medium Deluxe Pondless Waterfall Package with extra build up. We golfed, fished, pontoon rides, swam, jumped off the docks, played in their sandy beach, walked into town, had delicious meals, worked with our kids, had bon fires and enjoyed some adult beverages with the owner. Collaboration nation! This week’s episode we continue working in South Carolina with our good friend Jay Duke, Owner of Rivercrest Group! Brad and I drove from the Twin Cities of Minnesota to Coward South Carolina. This project was an honor to be a part of. This is the gentleman who trained Jay in on the SC Highway Patrol, a life long friend of Jay's. Working with Jay in his own area was awesome! Everywhere we went we were welcomed with some loving smiles! He truly loves and cares for his clients as much as we do ours. Thank you for joining us for episode 102 - South Carolina 2021 Part 2. Jay has an excellent vision for building water features, he really didn’t need our help, however it was a great win, win, win, scenario. We had a chance to go build during winter months with a great friend, Jay was able to get a lot of work done quickly and his clients were left with awesome water features! In this episode, we build our medium pondless waterfall package. it's over 15 feet long with an impressive build up! This features an Aquascape Aquasurge 4,000 to 8,000 GPH pump, under water lights, custom selected boulders and driftwood Jay hunted himself. I love how impactful this was to Jay's clients... she had befriended me on Facebook and tells us often how much this is benefiting their life. When I built my own waterfall years ago, it was meant to be a display for cars driving and people walking by. We wanted to show the public what we could do! For our business it was fantastic, but for me as the owner I didn't get maximum enjoyment because it was facing the street. All the coolest views and sounds were going away from the home. I couldn’t just crack my window or look out the window to enjoy its beautiful sights and sounds. I vowed then and there to always express that to potential client’s! In this week’s episode we had the goal of being sure they were building the waterfall to enjoy it from their porch but we also strived to add curb appeal to their home! I absolutely love the challenge each design offers to us! This was one of the most popular features we showed off to our Facebook audience all year! It is an upgrade of our small with a larger liner and larger pump for a wider more enriching experience. As a artists we designed packages to give us the resources we need to fill the space with moving water… but we also allow freedom to give more than what they paid for! In this case we were able to get more soil and stones to give us more height change for more eye catching waterfalls at no extra expense to our client because that’s what my vision needed! Can you imagine if it were 6 inches shorter? To me it seems like it was always there and when you add the pants around it… well it will be a masterpiece!
