This channel is dedicated to all sorts of content surrounding the entertainment industry. It was originally formed as a repository of content created for the California Community College Chancellor's Office Department of Economic and Workforce Development Doing What Matters Initiative. Running from 2013-2018, numerous events and assets were created to enhance anyone interested in entertainment as a career to find the best career pathways in. In order to support that effort, a series of videos were created that dealt with "below-the-line" or "crafts" positions, which are often not taught in regular curriculum.
The program further expanded to include digital assets that might be amusing to general students. Dan Watanabe, founder of this channel, was a grant director.

JAPANESE LANGUAGE CONTENT: Having attended high school in Japan, channel owner Dan Watanabe found this also to be a place where interesting tidbits from his days in Japan could provide a nostalgic backwards look for his former classmates -- as well as his current students. Further, this could be of cultural interest to westerners.

Please see the following updates on the channel!
OLDER "SENSEI DAN VIDEO COMMENTARIES: My older commentaries from a previous channel are being reuploaded here now. They may be found in the SENSEI DAN ALL VIDEOS Playlist. I am putting them up as Unlisted so they won't be confused with the newer content. Please check them out!
JAPANESE MUSIC AND DRAMA TITLES: Original copyright owners have become FAR more strict with pulling down old uploads. For the time being, I am just putting up classic Japanese commentaries from the days of prime time movie showcases. These often but not always include embedded commercials from original telecasts I recorded. Depending on YouTube and the copyright holders' 's future policies, I may try uploading music and dramas again in the future.

Nakagawa Nobuo is the Japanese version of Mario Bava, Roger Corman and William Castle. He worked for low budget film company Shin Toho (an off shoot of Toho) making B-pictures of all genres. He is best remembered today for his series of horror movies made in the late 50's. Among them, "The Ghost Cat Mansion" is one of the most unusual. Shot in both black and white and color (probably because it was secretly two movies stuck together), it has style, silliness, and a surprising amount of social relevance.
