Two Shot in Pomonok - Queens
October 31 2023 Queens, Pomonok – Two males were shot in the lobby of 162-01 71st Ave at 12:56am in the confines of the 107 Precinct, according to police.
One victim, 28 years old was shot in the upper back, and the other male, 61 years old, was shot in the left forearm. Both victims were transported by EMS to New York Presbyterian Hospital and are reported to be in stable condition, according to police.
Two suspects are wanted in connection to the shooting, according to police.

A resident from the originating fire building explained off camera of hearing an explosion come from her basement and then fire soon after.
At this time, according the fire chief, only one firefighter was reported injured during the fight with minor injuries and 22 residents displaced now in the care of the Red Cross and Bayonne OEM.

February 27, 2023 MANHATTAN, New York - FDNY responded to a building fire in the East Village of Manhattan and quickly transmitted a second alarm response to help extinguish fire found on the first and second floors of the building at 136 Avenue C in Manhattan’s East Village.
According to firefighters on scene the main body of fire has been extinguished with at least two people injured.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined pending an investigation by fire marshals.
