The GeForce RTX 3060 addresses the budget-oriented segment of gamers who need a capable HD card without paying a fortune to get one. It was launched in the first half of January 2021. It is made with 8nm lithography, and it uses a variant of the GA106 GPU, supporting DirextX12 Ultimate, so it has hardware raytracing and variable-rate shading, among other features. It is equipped with 12 GB GDDR6 memory through a 192-bit interface. The GPU is clocked at 1320 MHz, with its boost clocks getting close to 1800 MHz, while the memory is running at 1875 MHz, which is 15 Gbps. The original Nvidia RTX 3060 uses a 12-pin connector, while the board partners use the typical PCIe 6+2 pin sockets. With 170W maximum power draw at normal mode and 220W at turbo mode, a single 6+2 PCIe connector is enough, but some cards, like the one I will review today, go overkill using two of these connectors. Lastly, the PCIe v. 4.0 is used for the card's connection to the system, and the official price for 3060s is 330 euros, but don't expect to find any 3060 at this price, or even close to it. The colorful iGame Advanced OC goes for 650 euros in my country, including 24% VAT. ?? Epilogue ?? The IGAME COLORFUL RTX 3060 ADVANCED OC 12G L-V 12GB is an exceptional card, which will easily cope with HD gaming as long as you don't enable RTX without DLSS. Its build quality is top, the exterior design is great, and the compatible software is easy to use while offering everything you might need, from settings. Through the Turbo mode, you can push the power limit higher, and if you devote some time to find the right GPU and RAM clocks, you can have increased performance gains without a severe impact on the card's cooling system and its noise output. But, power consumption will also be increased. All in all, this is a great graphics card, which doesn't come cheap though, at 650 euros. To make matters worse, it won't be easy to find one.
