hey guys! this is a series that i've been wanting to do for a while now and is something that i think the scene really needs, especially for newer people entering into it. it's basically where i'm just going to take a larger genre, like dnb in this case, and explain (to the best of my ability) in a concise way what makes each genre unique; some defining characteristics of each genre. hopefully this helps some to gain a deeper understanding of some genres. ???

Raw has a special place in my heart. When I started exploring the genre it's fair to say that I didn't really like. I didn't hate it, I just didn't think anything of it. Wave is, in my opinion, is one of if not THE edm genre to keep your eyes on; it's only a couple of years old and there are already so many tunes that just blow me away. Yes, I know, such an original idea for a video. Well, I made this video because I felt there is always something lacking in every EDM genres video I've watched; either there are errors in the categorisation of certain songs in certain genres, or there is a lack of genres which accurately represents the dance music scene; I aim to remedy this, by providing a list of EDM sub-genres which, to the best of my knowledge and ability, is accurate and includes and wide range of genres which are usually omitted. I recently had the idea to make a video about my favourite edm albums of all time; it was a lot of fun to make. I hope everyone here finds an album that they like and decide to listen to. What makes an album my favourite is subjective but I like it to be a coherent collection of songs, with each song serving their own purpose.
