The Brighton Collaboration aims to become the arbiter of what constitutes a vaccine side effect. "We will tell you how to define them and whether a particular adverse event is, in fact, due to vaccines." While this is going, "[t]hey [CEPI] are trying to push out vaccines in 100 days from when the next pandemic arrives, which means you won't have any time to test them in human beings, which means you will have no idea about their safety," warned Dr. Meryl Nass. "And so CEPI, which is doing that, is now funding the Brighton Collaboration ... so that presumably they create definitions of adverse events that are going to let CEPI's vaccines off the hook."
