Finally getting back into the Steemit Open Mic! There's a secret micro-VLOG at the start of this, then the song happens at 1:00.

NOTE: The first ~10 seconds of this are a little pitchy, for exactly the reason I talk about at the beginning of the video... nerves! But it gets really awesome after that, so I wanted to share this take anyway.

This is an original song and performance, originally created for Steemit Open Mic Week 35. Last week's splitscreen video was fun, and I wanted to try a fully composed song in that style this week. The end result - pretty cool! I think the next step is to try and expand on the visual aspect. I want to take it from "amateurish but fun" to "damn that looks sick". Stay tuned for week 36 :-)

Hello pals :-) This week I wanted to really stretch out into the gnarliest math / prog mode. I was thinking about all that old Zach Hill / Vince Rogers (Tera Melos) drum shit, started out with the drum groove, then a whole song emerged. What is cool is that it ended up being a catchy kinda thing - the vocals brought it all together. Stay tuned to the end for a total drum freakout if that's your bag. cheers!
