Having the correct view of God and success are foundational matters. They prepare you to be a dreamer and a doer. But you cannot be an ordinary dreamer. You cannot just dream about anything and then do it yourself. You need to see God's dream for you and pursue it by faith.
The Examen Prayer (or Prayer of Examen) is a crucial spiritual discipline that we need to learn to pay atttention to God on a regular basis. Come and join me as we learn how to do this.

41 Every year Jesus’ parents went to Jerusalem for the Festival of the Passover. 42 When he was twelve years old, they went up to the festival, according to the custom. 43 After the festival was over, while his parents were returning home, the boy Jesus stayed behind in Jerusalem, but they were unaware of it. 44 Thinking he was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for him among their relatives and friends. 45 When they did not find him, they went back to Jerusalem to look for him. 46 After three days they found him in the temple courts, sitting among the teachers, listening to them and asking them questions. 47 Everyone who heard him was amazed at his understanding and his answers. 48 When his parents saw him, they were astonished. His mother said to him, “Son, why have you treated us like this? Your father and I have been anxiously searching for you.” 49 “Why were you searching for me?” he asked. “Didn’t you know I had to be in my Father’s house?” 50 But they did not understand what he was saying to them. 51 Then he went down to Nazareth with them and was obedient to them. But his mother treasured all these things in her heart. 52 And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man. (Luke 2:41-52)
Many Christians today started late in their Christian discipleship. They were already adults, sometimes older or senior adults before they decided to follow Jesus. Much time and plenty of opportunities were already lost or wasted because of this. It would have been better if they started young. How can we, as parents, help our children start young in their pursuit of God? In today's world, it would be challenging, but it's not impossible.

How can we help our children start young in their spiritual development?
Three Faith Choices
1. Practice sacred rhythms as a family (vv.41-42).
2. Provide plenty of opportunities to learn God's truth (vv.43-47).
3. Prioritize God's calling in our children's lives (vv.48-52).

Day 2: Trusting in God's Provisions
Scripture: Genesis 22:1-19
Today, we delve into the story of Abraham's faith as he was asked to sacrifice his son, Isaac. It's a profound test of his trust in God's provisions. Sometimes, God asks us to trust in His plan, even when it challenges our expectations. In your life, where do you need to trust in God's provision? How can you align your expectations with His divine plan? In prayer, seek the strength to rely on God's perfect provisions in all areas of your life.

What is an "Open Door"? | Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
Christians are unaware of what is available to them because of Christ. Consequently, they miss the opportunities that God makes available for them if they will trust in Him. They waste their time and resources dabbling in worldly pursuits or false attachments. Many settle for mediocrity in their Christian lives instead of experiencing the glory of God. What they need is a deep understanding of the concept of "Open Door." What is an "Open Door"?

1 In the Lord I take refuge. How then can you say to me: “Flee like a bird to your mountain. 2 For look, the wicked bend their bows; they set their arrows against the strings to shoot from the shadows at the upright in heart. 3 When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” 4 The Lord is in his holy temple; the Lord is on his heavenly throne. He observes everyone on earth; his eyes examine them. 5 The Lord examines the righteous, but the wicked, those who love violence, he hates with a passion. 6 On the wicked he will rain fiery coals and burning sulfur; a scorching wind will be their lot. 7 For the Lord is righteous, he loves justice; the upright will see his face. (Psalm 11:1-7)
Sometimes we find ourselves in situations where we feel like running away. We want to quit and leave everything behind. Maybe there is too much pressure. Maybe you're having a hard time dealing with people. Whatever the reason, it's important to understand that running away is a choice, but it's not the only choice. We can run to the Lord instead.

Three Things to Remember
1. Remember you have a refuge (vv.1-3).
2. Remember you have a rescuer (vv.4-6).
3. Remember you have a reward (v.7).

Building Your Future Wisely | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
46 “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say? 47 As for everyone who comes to me and hears my words and puts them into practice, I will show you what they are like. 48 They are like a man building a house, who dug down deep and laid the foundation on rock. When a flood came, the torrent struck that house but could not shake it, because it was well built. 49 But the one who hears my words and does not put them into practice is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. The moment the torrent struck that house, it collapsed and its destruction was complete.” (Luke 6:46-49)
Whether we like it or not, we are building our lives through every choice that we make. Many people are foolishly building their lives toward future catastrophes without even knowing it. By rejecting the claims of Christ right now, they are unknowingly setting up themselves for future failure. But is there another choice? Of course! By obeying Christ today and every day, we can build our lives wisely toward the future.
