The Official Coffeehouse Dialogue Take on the Hamas-Israel War in 2023
Please, pray for peace in the Levant. This has gotten out of hand even before the current war. I am not going to bother siding with either one, so do not even ask me to.
This is part of an effort to retake the American church ecumenical, more specifically the part within the Anglican Communion. I am not an Episcopalian, but there is a movement trying to restore that denomination to its confessional roots.
This will probably be the last response I do up against Shane Killian for a while. If he reads anything and disagrees with what I say, he is free to make a response video to both articles at the same time. In the meantime, I got bigger fish to fry, for example Adolf Hitler's "positive Christianity" and that putrid "Queer Gospel" that reads (from what I saw) like a middle schooler with his mind completely on sex.
Sometimes, I get to thinking the vast majority of atheists are just the carbon copy of their fundamentalist counterparts but with a different conclusion. This holds especially true when it comes to the excuses they make for their hermeneutical incompetance regarding the Bible, chief among them being this false dichtomy of it being either completely literal or all metaphorical. There is practically no difference in the way fundies and fundie atheists argue. Oh, but no! The phrase "fundamentalist atheist" is just an oxymoron, right? The similar behaviors are just a figment of my imagination? Uh-huh, sure. Keep telling yourself that. Sorry! (Not Sorry.)
Sometimes, I can go overboard, so treat this as the amended rules of debate. Patrick Smith (the main guy
behind Disenthrall/Anarchast) suggested that I do voice debates on my channel or similar things to hold the debate bros to the fire and call them out where needed, and I might do that later on once I get the right hardware and software to support that here on Odysee.
Since I am going after Marioncists and Pelagians (among other heretics), this will be the article I link to any fedora-tipping fundie atheists that act all smug about it by pretending as though I am the worst thing ever for pointing out the errors in the way the involved texts are read. Any other circumstance, they would be the first to say I am the one that is wrong in my reading, so which is it? Is that allow or is it not? Make up your mind.
Since there are some people that cannot seem to grasp the concept of a debate where everything can be documented and uninterrupted, this article is required reading for anyone that wants to challenge me. If you are going to go, "Debate me bruh," and fail to show up when I accept by expecting you to use this format I specify, do not waste my time. That is all.
Yes, I am fully aware that I am roughly a year late to the party in responding to the involved video. This will likely be the only time I bother with Vince Dao, since it appears his whole shtick is predominantly about debunking and clowning on the woke mob while pandering to the Republican Party's MAGA hatters. I cannot be bothered with this whole political rat race, frankly. I learned my lesson after the 2016 election where I voted for Trump just so Hillary Clinton would not seize power. Hardly any meaningful change occurred, and now it doesn't even matter. "Oh! But, you can't complain if you don't vote," you say? Refresh my memory: who is the one that keeps putting in office folks that are warmongering, anti-encryption, anti-privacy, anti-family, etcetera and just overall untrustworthy? You would think for all the times that excuse you pull was brought up that you would finally avoid this vicious cycle, but here we are. I am done with this scam they call "election year."
One of the big excuses for not acknowledging what ought to be common sense theology on Christ is the whole "synagogue of Satan" canard based on some one-off verses and passages that the heretics think debunk the rest of the biblical data. I go over that here.
This is a long overdue video I promised back when I responded to Shane Killian. Katt Chatt asked what people's views were on soteriological matters, hence her mention of Calvinism and Arminianism.
Most credits are in the video itself, but here are additional ones.
