The bright spot is the sun. - Mitchell Lang at YouTube
MY ANSWER: That is absurd. I go outside to walk every day and when I see the sun in the sky it is 20 times larger than that and NEVER in the SOUTHERN SKY.
Objects higher in the sky appear smaller. If it's not the sun, where was the sun in your video then? - Petros Adamopaulos at YouTube
MY ANSWER: It would have been way to the right, and about 20 times larger. No way under the sun, is that the sun. Good try, Jesuit.
Well, we get a glimpse of the cloud tops to the right and they indeed appear lit from the left. As for the size, the Sun we see in your video has an apparent angular size somewhere between 0.5° and certainly under 1°, assuming a camera field of view of about 60°. This matches the expected 0.5° true angular size it has in the sky. How could the real sun you conveniently avoid filming be 20 times larger... that's the true mystery. - Petros Adamopaulos at YouTube
MY ANSWER: Your description does not match what I see.
What part of it does not match? I submitted to you facts easy to verify. What about we asked a third party? Ultimately, reality is the judge, but if we disagree on what is real, we can work on a consensus. I let you pick any third party person to verify the facts I've put forward. - Petros Adamopaulos at YouTube
MY ANSWER: Video was taken on 3-28-16. It has been overcast just about every day, and it is now 2 p.m. (same time video was shot) and I went outside to see where the sun is. It is STRAIGHT UP in the sky, almost exactly perpendicular to the ground and about equidistant from the south, north, west and east. THROUGH THE CLOUDS, as I look at it, it has a diameter that is about 30 times larger than that "pinhole" bright light in the sky, that you claim is the sun and the brightness is such that you can't make out the exact outlines through the clouds, unlike the pinhole bright light that you see in the video. But because of the cloud cover, you can't see the exact outline, but it is so bright, it shines THROUGH THE CLOUDS with a diameter about 30 times larger than the pinhole bright light in my video. Because I walk every day, I know that around two it will move towards the WEST, remaining HIGH IN THE SKY. The actual sun would be positioned more to the WEST and HIGHER IN THE SKY and much WIDER and BIGGER. Going by your argument of the illumination on the cloud tops. It is obvious from looking at the illumination on the cloud tops, in the entire video, that the sun is to the WEST and very HIGH IN THE SKY. Also, the true sun's illumination is FAR TOO BRIGHT to come from that pin hole size light, that you claim is the sun. Remember, we are looking at a SOUTHERN SKY here in this video (with the EAST to the left and the WEST to the RIGHT) and we do NOT HAVE the view from my window of the sky EXACTLY OVERHEAD (which is where the sun would be). It appears the nukkake or object in the sky that is glowing, is somewhat SOUTHEAST OF THE SUN. The actual sun is OFF CAMERA, because I did not pan my camera STRAIGHT UP (in the area where the sun would be, except somewhat at 2:05). The ONLY way this could be the sun, would be if the sun shone through a pinhole break in the clouds, which was able to totally mask the rest of the sun's radiance, as the real sun in the picture should be about 20 times larger. Also, you must keep in mind, that I took this picture from the THIRD FLOOR, so I am closer to the sky and the sun should be MUCH LARGER. The likelihood of there being a pin hole break in the clouds surrounded by cloud thickness so thick that it completely blocked the rest of the sun from glowing through the clouds is HIGHLY UNLIKELY. The position of the REAL SUN ALSO NEEDS TO BE HIGHER IN THE SKY. The radiance on the clouds is bright enough to indicate that the source of the light is MUCH LARGER THAN THAT PINHOLE LIGHT IN THE CLOUDS. ACTUALLY, I DID get a bit of the sun, if you look at the very top of my window at 2:05 when my camera goes STRAIGHT UP, there is a glaring light about 30 times larger than that pinhole, and that is the OUTER EDGES of the sun's radiance (the actual sun is STRAIGHT ABOVE and OFF CAMERA), and at 2:06. It is SO GLARING, that all you can make out is a bright glare, you can't see any defined edges, which is what you would expect from a camera taking a picture of the sun's outer edges. Also, the INTENSITY of the glare is SO BRIGHT, it is OBVIOUS that the sun is MUCH LARGER than that pinhole light we see in the SOUTHERN SKY. Again, the illumination on the clouds is TOO BRIGHT to come from that pinhole light. It is coming from the BRIGHT GLARE we see at 2:05 (STRAIGHT UP IN THE SKY FROM MY 3RD FLOOR WINDOW). Also, at 3:18, we see a BIRD flying across at about the same spot where the nukkake or pinhole bright light was, and you are saying that the sun is the size of a bird? That bird is the size of the pinhole bright light, which you claim is the sun, and which I think may have been a nukkake missile!!
