Why is it so amazing? It breaks the painting process down and helps you focus on value first. Value is one of the most important parts of making a good painting. It helps things look dimensional and have volume. That's what makes a painting good!
Plus, acrylics are great for layering. Underpainting is the best way to start a painting you're going to layer and will help you build up nice, rich colors and depth!

Have you ever started a painting, then you got to the middle and you get a little stuck? Maybe I should ask if that's ever not happened. It's super normal and I have 7 tricks for you today to help you get through the humps in the middle so that you do not quit making your painting and instead get to the end of the beautiful vision you have.

Let's dive into my 7 tricks to help you get unstuck from artists block:
1) Stop and reflect. Put it in front of you, look at it, thinking about it.
2) Take a picture of your painting and then change it with the filter on your phone in black and white.
3) Take a photo and use the filters to decide on color.
4) All you need to know is the next step.
5) Turn your painting upside down.
6) Hold it up in front of a mirror.
7) Come back to your original intention. What did I want to create when I started this painting? Am I in alignment or did I get off track? This reflective painting step is probably the most important step in this list.
Getting unstuck when you're in the middle of a painting may seem impossible at first. Artists block doesn't have to stop you from finishing your acrylic painting! I truly hope these tips and tricks help you get unstuck so you can get to the end of the beautiful painting you're creating.
