Tujuan uji atau menguji tegangan tembus oli adalah untuk mengetahui kemampuan isolasi minyak terhadap tegangan yang diberikan, jika nilai BDV test tinggi bisa disimpulkan bahwa minyak trafo dalam kondisi yang masih baik dan begitu juga sebaliknya.
Dari hasil parameter ini bisa kita planning untuk langkah preventif yang selanjutnya.
