It's my last day here at Blue Grotto and I capped it off with four dives... one fun one and three challenging training dives. Imagine yourself in 50 feet of water with a blindfold on, trying to feel your way around the murky bottom looking for a thread thinner than a shoelace... you either find it and survive or you spend the rest of your cave diving career looking for it.

So here we are less than two weeks before the nation is set to begin reopening. And yet we're still getting new cases, front line workers are dying, people are losing family members and limbs... and through it all there are STILL people saying it's just a flu, it's a hoax, the government is trying to control you and it's all because of 5G!
I watched a couple of really fringe videos yesterday where some known quacks went on and on about all that and more. It's odd to hear a so-called doctor spouting off conspiracy theories like shotgun blasts, just hoping to hit on some truth somewhere.
And speaking of doctors, has anyone checked the credentials of Dr. Phil, Dr. Oz, Dr. Fauci, Dr. Tedros and all these other "go to" doctors on TV lately? Because some of these guys are into some shady stuff and I'm not sure who is legit and who is full of it any more. Although not a physician, at least Tedros has a PhD in Community Health so there's something.

Despite the President wanting this semi-shutdown to end by Easter, it's increasingly unlikely that's going to happen. Even the most die-hard Trump haters are soon going to be agreeing with him that the costs, both personal and cultural, of shutting down the nation are going to at some point outweigh the risks of re-opening it. Until we re-open it and see what happens then.
Privacy and freedom advocates are standing alongside conspiracy theorists and the vaguely self-absorbed casually disinterested masses demanding the right to go back to working and drinking and doing whatever they want while simultaneously decrying the government and health officials for not doing enough to protect them.
I'm starting to wonder if we don't need some remedial lessons on cause and effect here.

It's the last stop of Roadship2... Tucson and Biosphere 2. Too many twos!
As it turns out, the tour has been nerfed as a result of the recent unpleasantness so skip it, I said... I've still got photos of the last time I was here and the story is no different now than it was then.
The takeaway? Packing for a very long trip (like the rest of humanity's existence) is a lot harder than you think and you're gonna need some things you just won't be able to pick up when you get there. So there's something to be said about home, whether it's Las Vegas or Earth in general.
There you go, lesson learned.
