Mediocre 2009 Thyssenkrupp Signa4 Hydraulic Elevator at 44th Executive Center (Myrtle Beach SC)
This building looked straight out of the 1980's, but color me shocked when this was actually built in 2009, meaning this TK is original. This elevator doesn't run that good, and the chimes are pretty loud.

This was not a plotted out building I wanted to see. This place is built in 1904... and Dover Impulse.
Don't get me wrong, I like Impulses and this runs fine I guess, but being in a historic building like this doesn't make me too happy. Sure it may have been added on (or maybe a replacement), but there was so much potential to have something nicer and not another Basic Impulse I can find elsewhere.

There's a lot of rare finds for elevators, but how about a 1980's Dover Impulse with ALL of the Original Contact Block Impulse Buttons? Well, here is a completely original one.
This is a simple but charming 2 Story Impulse, complete with a scenic view, which is an odd but nice choice. A major concern though is the loose COP. On a different clip not shown, when trying to open the Phone Cabinet, the Panel almost came off and that would've been dangerous. That explains the common banging noise going up and down, in which they need to secure it down ASAP. Besides that, this was a surprise overall and it even runs well.

On this day, I found 3 jackpot elevators! This is 3 out of 3, and the other 2 will be shown later this month.
It's rather interesting they went with a Soft Touch. This would've been a Fully OG Soft Touch had two buttons not been replaced. One with a TK Aurora button, the other one is unknown but was installed rather crapily. The Cab seems a bit crusty due to the ripped off labels beside the buttons. One of the Laterns has a piece missing and the elevator is pretty jolty when going down.
Besides that, this is a rather unique find! I love me a good Soft Touch, but if only it ran a bit better and didn't look a bit worn...

This is an old cab I haven't filmed in 2 years. Overall, this seems to be running well and holding up fine for the most part. Sometimes the buttons get stuck, the cab is tiny, and the cab is super boring, but besides that it's a classic little cab.
This place is going under some renovations, but mostly on the first floor. The large office on the first floor got completely gutted, but there is no restroom down there as far as I know, just the 2nd and Basement floors. So far, I highly doubt the other floors or lobbies will be redone, but I got this and a reshoot of the 2nd floor bathroom just in case. I'm keeping an eye on this place in case anything happens.

At first, these look to be the same as the prior ones at Two Piedmont, but these are configured a bit different. The right set of two (shown in the video) are the only two that serve the Lower Level floor as well as the upper floors, and the left set of two (not shown) only serve the upper floors. Interesting configuration. Sadly, most of the floors are locked off. Besides that, these sport the same look as Two Piedmont.

This building looked like it would've had basic cabs... BOY was I wrong?! We have 3 Fancy ThyssenDover (Dover) Elevators with very fancy and cool features. For one, they have Dover Vandal Resistant Fixtures, and you know how much I love Dover VR. The Cabs and Lobbys are very well designed as well. Not only that, the Outside features CUSTOM SQUARE LATERNS! The Laterns are extremely rare and definitely seem more like a Dover thing compared to TKE. These are some great riding cabs with excellent designs and features! 10/10 Worthy for sure!

I had recieved word that this Otis Lexan was recently modded, and it was. This elevator was a rare Otis Lexan HPA 2000 with the Edge Lit Indicator apart of this shithole hotel, and because of that, the elevator became a run down pile of shit. Honestly, the surprising part is how the hell is this dump still open?
It got a pretty unimpressive Innovation Mod by some 3rd Party Company, and I'll give it this, it fixes the issues of this thing running like crap, but I doubt that'll last. However, another issue remains, the shitty and run down cab design still remains. Why did they not update the cab interior? It still looks like a dumpy "drugavator". But then again, this is the same hotel that turned Universal Rundle Colburn urinals into waterless "urinals" and left gaping holes in the walls where the FV's were, so honestly, none of this surprises me. Yet another unlikeable mod.

Wow, I was not expecting another Southern Elevator! This elevator is clearly an add on to this building, but looks nowhere close to an 1980’s Elevator in my eyes, looks more 1960’s/1970’s to me!
Whether this was actually made in the 1980’s or not, the style does somewhat fit the building in some ways! The Elevator itself is awesome! We have a Double Door Cab with a neato but quiet motor. Oh, and this also features some GAL JetPlus/Black Buttons, and a really cool Floor Indicator! My only complaint is this lift is ridiculously slow, but doesn’t even come close to that POS at the Belk at the Carolina Place Mall. But other than that, I love this elevator!
