September: The word went out across our allotment site over the weekend that a pest, either foxes, badgers or rats, were making their way through the Sweetcorn patches on plots. As soon as I heard I headed to my allotment garden with basket in hand and set about harvesting my sweetcorn. The plants were given to me by a friend, the variety is Ambrosia. I am pleased with the harvest this year, I just wish I knew what variety it was because I would sow it myself. I did taste some before I put the rest into storage and they tasted beautiful. Once taken off the cob I weight the sweetcorn and it came in at 2lb 8.6oz. I then processed it and placed it in the freezer. ? LET'S CONNECT ?
