Originally built as a grand summer residence in 1875 Cairndhu House now lies in extreme disrepair and has been the site of numerous reported ghost sightings. It does have a spooky atmosphere but I was more wary of falling through rotten floorboards or a ceiling crumbling and crashing on top of me than any restless and lingering spirits...although when a rat ran in front of me in one of the back alleys I almost jumped out of my skin!!!
Still, I wouldn't like to spend a night alone here ?
