Salvation is free because it is by grace through faith. It is available to all. However, some people do not receive it because of three hindrances. Find out what they are.
12 Arise, Lord! Lift up your hand, O God. Do not forget the helpless. 13 Why does the wicked man revile God? Why does he say to himself, “He won’t call me to account”? 14 But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted; you consider their grief and take it in hand. The victims commit themselves to you; you are the helper of the fatherless. 15 Break the arm of the wicked man; call the evildoer to account for his wickedness that would not otherwise be found out. 16 The Lord is King for ever and ever; the nations will perish from his land. 17 You, Lord, hear the desire of the afflicted; you encourage them, and you listen to their cry, 18 defending the fatherless and the oppressed, so that mere earthly mortals will never again strike terror. (Psalm 10:12-18)
When faced with evil, sometimes we don't know how to respond. Our first instinct is to be angry. We lash out against those who are doing evil. Sometimes it works; often, it doesn't. Usually, it worsens the situation because the evildoers will not give up. Others will leave, which is what the evildoers want since they can now be free to do what they want. Finally, some will freeze and do nothing. It will encourage the evildoers to continue. What can we do? Ask for God's intervention.

Main Idea: “When facing an evil situation, ask for God's intervention.” (“Kapag nahaharap sa masamang sitwasyon, hingin ang interbensyon ng Diyos.”)
How do we pray for God's intervention?
Three Ways
1. Ask God to reveal Himself (vv.12-13).
2. Ask God to stop the wickedness (vv.14-15).
3. Ask God to defend the helpless (vv.16-18).

This month we want to delve deeper into mental health issues and look at specific problems. Our primary source of inspiration will be the Book of Psalms. Specifically, we want to investigate and address the most common types of mental health issues that people face today. To start off this series, let us focus on depression – one of the most widespread yet misunderstood mental health challenges.

Effective Witnessing | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
57 When it was time for Elizabeth to have her baby, she gave birth to a son. 58 Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy. 59 On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, 60 but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.” 61 They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who has that name.” 62 Then they made signs to his father, to find out what he would like to name the child. 63 He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone’s astonishment he wrote, “His name is John.” 64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. 65 All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things. 66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him. (Luke 1:57-66)
We are called to be witnesses of the Gospel. Sharing the Good News with others is our privilege and responsibility. But not many of us are doing it effectively. Effective witnessing is all about sharing the Good News to others so that they are persuaded to trust God also. But how do we do that in such a way that we do not alienate people in the process?

Text: Luke 13:10-17
God is always at work in this world and also in our lives. He wants us to join Him in His work of grace and mercy so that we can become active participants rather than passive onlookers. Unfortunately, our focus is on other things. That's why we miss God-moments or divine opportunities.

Central Idea: “We miss divine opportunities because our focus is on other things.” (“Hindi natin nakikita ang mga banal na oportunidad dahil nakatuon tayo sa ibang bagay.”)
Why do we miss divine opportunities?
Three Reasons
1. We don't see what Jesus sees (vv.10-13)
2. We don't feel what Jesus feels (vv.14-16).
3. We don't do what Jesus would do (v.17).

One way to grow in our faith is by having a Sabbatical lifestyle. This means having Sabbath Moments, Sabbath Days, and Sabbatical Seasons.
Sabbath Moments are when we stop during the day to be quiet and worship God, enjoying time with Him. Sabbath Days are special days set aside for this purpose, usually on a Saturday or Sunday. Sabbatical Seasons are longer periods, like three or four months, when we focus on God to feel renewed, refreshed, and refocused. Often this is simply called a Sabbatical.

The Crisis of Faith | By Pastor Bong Baylon | RLCC
Date: Oct 6, 2022
Text: Luke 12:49-13:9
When a person hears the Gospel, he or she is faced with a crisis. Will he or she believe and entrust everything to the Lord or will he or she just continue on as if the Lord did not confront him or her with the Gospel? This is the crisis of faith. We have to decide and we need to decide in the right way, that is we must believe rather than reject the Gospel. Not deciding is already a decision and we will be held accountable for rejecting the truth.

People often make decisions without proper discernment. Discernment takes time and requires an openness to God and a willingness to obey God no matter what. Before deciding on anything significant, we must make time for proper discernment. Pay attention to the movements in your soul pertaining to each decision you are seriously considering before actually deciding.
