Nuclei overload training is the idea that you train a muscle every day for a month or so, followed by a one to two week total break. This is supposed to activate satellite cells. Recently Coach Greg Doucette and Team 3DAlpha have been going back and forth about this style of training, and I've been getting a lot of questions about this, so I dug into this topic a bit.
I think nucleus overload training can have benefits, but you need to apply it in an intelligent manner and approach it in a totally different way compared to "normal" training. It's best to look at it as an adjunct to training, something that you are doing in addition to your normal training. Furthermore, you really do need to be careful when selecting your loading, RPE and which body part you are doing this for in the first place!
Doing this for RDLs or bench press is just going to get you HURT, that simple!

I'm natural. I've always been natural. Here's why:
Reason #1: Lack of Opportunity (:45)
I live in China. I've worked out 5-6 years and been in China 8+ years. So...I've spent all of that time working out in Chinese gyms, of which I've usually been the biggest fish in that little pond. So for me, I don't really feel small by any means, nor have I really seen them.
Yes, not only have I never taken steroids, I have literally never laid eyes on them in person.
They're FAR more common in the US, UK, and Europe, with studies reporting about 15-30% of gymgoers having tried them-and that was over a decade ago, I don't think they've become less popular! Keep in mind that 15-30% is BOTH men and women, just men alone will be higher. Furthermore, those are just the ones who admitted using an illegal substance, meaning the true number could be even higher. They ARE very common...but I've still decided to stay natural.
Reason #2: I don't feel the desire to (2:05)
I'm still making good progress via just diet and exercise. I'm still making size and strength gains. I've only been training 5-6 years and a few of those weren't optimal at all (see this video!) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0GpzTgWL23E
You can always take them later. No one has any business taking steroids without 5 years of optimal training, that's just a huge waste. Stay natural, at least while you are still making progress-learning the principles of training help SO much. Ditto on diet. Get those in place or steroids will just f*ck up your health with little benefit.
Reason #3: I am more than muscle (3:05)
I would love 5-10kg more muscle, but I also want other things. I want to run 15km in an hour. I want a longer broad jump and vertical. I want to be able to itch my back...what a luxury!!! Really...there is more to life than muscle. I am NOT a competitive bodybuilder, natural or otherwise. I am a coach, writer and educator, none of which require me to be a monster in the gym.
Reason #4: HEALTH (3:40)
Steroids can impact your....heart, liver, kidneys, hair, skin, systemic inflammation...and your balls. Or lady-balls, for women. Also vital. Even CREATINE started giving me hair loss, steroids and I'd be bald in 6 months. Not a good look for me. Did that once when I was 17. Horrible. Never again.
Reason #5: I don't wanna get that jacked anyway! (5:13)
Even at 96kg I started destroying clothes. 106kg? 116kg? 126kg?
Holy shit. I can't even imagine.
That being said...it's a personal choice, and as long as people are honest about it...I couldn't care less!

Clickbait in the fitness industry is extremely common, to the point of becoming the norm. That's the reality-if you don't clickbait people at all through some very clickable and provocative title, topic or thumbnail...you're just not going to get very far.
Still, clickbait is, in my opinion, really getting out of control in some ways. When creators with good content that don't clickbait simply get minimal views...how good is the system, really?
