In this video we take a look at PIKO catalogue number 57503. This is a Deutsche Bahn BR218 Diesel Locomotive. I got this second hand and it has had a chequered past, having been converted for DCC operation. In this video I show you it up close in detail, and then give it a run, and take it apart so you can see the motor and drive. I'll also compare it to another Class 218 from rival manufacturer Roco so you can see the differences and consider which of the two you'd prefer. I'll also make a recommendation if you should consider buying this model or not.
