A British TikTok model has been jailed for almost seven years, after he was caught trying to smuggle 2.9kg of cocaine from Peru to the UK. 25-year-old Modou Adams, known for showing off his extravagant lifestyle under the moniker ‘boywholives,’ was held at Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport after the cocaine was discovered hidden in his suitcase. He had tried to check in for a flight to London via Paris with his haul, thought to be worth around £300,000 ($360,000).
Police in Peru released footage of the cocaine being discovered as Adams looked on, before he was then searched by officers. He ultimately pleaded guilty to the drug-trafficking charge, with prosecutors claiming this was not the first time he’d attempted to smuggle drugs, and authorities say he will serve his sentence in full in a Peruvian prison.
