In this episode, we sit down with Bruce Cardenas, a man whose life has been defined by a commitment to service and excellence. Bruce owns a top level executive security business and has protected some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, top Business Executives, and even the President of the United States. He is also the former Chief Communications Officer at Quest Nutrition, a billion dollar company which specializes in protein bars. Bruce's journey began in the United States Marines, where he first began pursing his dream of becoming a police officer. After visiting California and attending a Career Day, Bruce applied for the LAPD and got in. His experience in the LAPD provided invaluable insights into the security landscape and enabled him to build an exceptional team that would go on to safeguard prominent figures and high-profile events worldwide. He would eventually befriend Shannan Penna, creator of the quest bar, and help her build Quest Nutrition. Eventually, Bruce's expertise as the Chief Communications Officer at Quest Nutrition played a pivotal role in the company's success, leading up to its landmark sale for over a billion dollars. Today Bruce is still working as a reserve for the LA County Sheriff's Dept. and even gets to escort the President from time to time. He still works in private security, he's still helping build companies in the protein snacks market, and now he is writing a book.
